Seems a bit high for a small car, almost like my 2.5ltr car. But it depends on the traffic you go thru.

The latter 10.4 km/L seems normal for 1.8 cc with a mixture of town and highway driving. The former figure of 8.8 km/L I would say it is thirsty! Thirsty even for 100% town driving.

Normally the meter will show between 8.5 litre/ 100km to 10.5 litre/100 km

But 8.8km/litre and 10.4km/litre sounds a bit strange to me?

Anyone can explain the difference of the two?

can be more specific for example time frame, let say last 2 day 8L/km today it's 10L/km same road same time & same trafic conditions, did u check ur tyre pressure 2, if not the different is maybe because of these situation, if yes maybe than got engine problem, sifu's correct me if i'm wrong:adore::biggrin:

Thanks for those words ZTH members. Appreciate that.
Anyway, forgot to mention that the 8.8km/l was the old engine, changed to another halfcut early of february due to pecah for some reason the oil filter got clogged.
Using another engine and recently checked meter for the fc and noticed bout the 10.4km/l.

Bout the time frame, meter resulted the same, 10.4 km/l.
Check my tyre pressure to make sure its good every 3 days.
Traffic was fair because I'm workin at Bandar Enstek.
Travel weekdays from Puchong using the hway head to Putrajaya.

So its confirm that my fc is getting better eh?
Because I really don't know how this km/l works. :?

:\

KM/L is the distance travelled per litre of petrol. If you pump in 60L and you travel 600km, then that's 10km/L.

L/100KM is just the same concept except it's the measure of how many litres of petrol used for every 100km.

Personally I use km/L. 10.4km/L is pretty average for old cars these days.

I see, I'm begun to understand now.
Did we have travel up to 100km to get the answer?
Because sometimes I do reset the meter to get the number back, and as usual, about 2mins like that it still stated 10.4km/l.
Sorry asked too much, a bit puzzle here.

Khoo: I only pumped 95 and my car is MT.

no need to travel 100 km just +- distance is enuff, of course if u want exact need to go iway with less trafic drive @ constant speed is the best way to get accurate km/l, so the more km u get for 1 liter is better (less fuel more distance)

That is the calculation by the ECU depending on your driving style, but I don't think is 100% correct.
Best to pump full tank, set trip meter to zero, use until almost empty, refill to full then check your mileage against the amount of fuel used. Do it 3 to 4 rounds and average it out for more accurate reading...

I recently put up an ad on Mudah.my to sell my car. I only provided my name and handphone number should a buyer be interested to contact me. The very next day, I received an SMS, but this SMS looked a bit strange. It wasn't from a mobile number, but from SendMassage.com, one of those websites offering free SMSes to mobile numbers. The message wrote:

"Hi, I am Norsiah. I am interested in your car. Can you provide me with information regarding the car's condition and price? Email me...
