Howdy fellows. I've had this problem before and i tried everyting including getting the original 99 spec mounting hardware from Japan with no luck. There are couple of areas you should look at:

1. Drain from sunroof. It has 4 drains on each side. They can sometimes be clogged up with leafs of debris. so check this first.

2. Rubber connectors sometimes leave a gap enough to let water in so check them too.

3. Check your wing mounts.

And finally i found my problem at least.

I used sealant (transparent type) and let it dry for about 15 minutes before installing again. So far so good. its been 3 months.

So good luck with your quest.

This nylon bush is usually missing or screwed.

Location of where i added plenty of sealant and secured afterwards.

Goodluck
