Gearbox Problem

INTRO
Me just purchased a 2nd hand standard Putra '97(A).. Recently when me want to 'tarik', the gear transition (let say from 2.. its went free.. then it'll shift to 3) ;the gear slips me think.. blur ha.. sorry me dunno how to pronounce clearer to u all

Me oledi went to some w/shops.. some sayz my gearbox nearly time to ko.. some says its still can be fix..

Solution
Me really need ur guyz brainworkz as me oledi dumb dead..
What do u guyz suggest me to do.. if u have good w/shop please tell me too...

putra 97 auto is using 222 gearbox. no matter how u fix and replace also not as good other car. First thing first change ur gearbox oil and gearbox filter. Then observe from there... hopefully can get some improvement from there..

possibly a worn out clutch plate for the auto gearbox. Changing the clutch plate can be quite costly, usually for proton cars, they opt to change the whole gear box to a recond one instead of just changing the clutch plate....

try flushing ur gear oil n refill wit a new 1... try that way 1st.. ditry gear oil can cost auto transmission gears to jump here n there
