Hi there,

First would apologize if this topic has been discussed elsewhere in the forum.

My question to kick start the discussion to all masters here are:

1. The forged process - how it works?

2. Can we forge existing engine parts OR have to buy ready forged engine parts? What are the pro's and con's

3. Which Malaysian companies provides engine forging services and what sort of range in cost should expecting?

Thanks:_:

Forging is a method used to finish a part... once finalized it cant be "forged". Some replacement parts can be MUCH stronger if done this way.

If building that killer setup you may want, for example, forged pistons.

Where things get tricky is you might use annealing on a forged part! ;)
