if you want a simple diy, just use 2 windscreen spray nozzle, 3 way aquarium tube connector and aquarium hose. connect it to ur windscreen spray hose and voila!!!

A better idea.

Make a simple circuit, which acts as a thermometer switch (a lot on the web) and connect it to your 12V battery directly (make sure you have a rectifier). When the temp goes to certain lvl, the water pump will automatically turn on and cool the intercooler down automatically :)

Might be doing that during the holidays.

how about...
buy a water reservoir...a simple one...and easy to install in ur engine bay...
connect the wiring to battery and make a switch for it...
the connect the hose to the intercooler or maybe ur radiator...:D can aaaa

beter change the water spray to a bigger pump so the water pressure is higher...

conmect it to windscreen sray is works but the pressure very low only...not so effective...

most of my fren customized a water tank at rear boot....to ensure the water is cool everytime....

my 2 cents....

actually the water spray on ur intercooler will make the intercooler stuck with dirt and dust..the wter will catch the dust and dirt when ur car running and then it will dry and the dirt and dust will stick on ur intercooler...just my experience

spraying water to it, u are actually adding the percent of the stuck of dust...
at least withoud the water, those tiny dust will not stick on it...use ur logic..water can trap the dust....

Everywhere
decrease temperature at intercooler = increase performance !
clog up intercooler wit dust = decrease performance = need to clean often !

but then again wit or without water spray surely intercooler wil clog up cos road condirion in m'sia ( lots of constructions n lorries ) n also water raining !

this is hardly true. i would agree there would be some accumulated debris but unless you drive through a mud puddle this will hardly be an issue. the subaru legacy comes with nozzles spraying water onto intercooler and oil coolers. if there was going to be any reliability issues i dont think this feature would have been introduced.

I would suggest a misting effect rather than water squirters.

Is DIY water spray worth doing? and get the desired result like power gain? I thought the intercooler is already designed in a way that it gives almost good performance already.....

Well, neber mind, curiousity is one of the requirement for new invention. As long as the cat isn't klled in the process of inventing.

take off the rear washer pipe, replace with a new pipe which with the washer aim to the cooler tank....

it should be a gd way....but...really curious wht's the effect and result for the water spraying system....
some said can decrease the air-con temp by 2c
some is improve troque
fuel consumption

To welcome the coming all-new Vios, Toyota Malaysia has recently added this to their website - Design your own Vios.

It's quite interesting how you can paint the body, add graphics, splash some colours, and so on. May not be exactly like the Need For Speed game but good enough for something relevant to what you'll see on the roads soon...
