I am keeping most of my original intake pipes and the original airbox.

I removed the original filter element, leaving the frame to make up the airbox. I also remove the U-snorkel at the front. I also need to trim the hose a bit to get the 3" filter fitted nicely.

In this modification, you only need to spend on buying the filter. Cheapest, neatest and most effective cold air induction.

i already have the filter...hehe
so the diy is pretty much free!

but...i need to find 3' industrial hose

i have my old filter pipings...i only dont know where to find an extension from the airbox to the open pod only...btw, how did you secure the open pod's to ur soft fender?

You don't need to have any extension. There's supposed a section before the airbox, which comes with the car. I didn't secure it by any means, just clamp it onto the intake pipe.

I painted one of the section silver for easy recognition (did this 4/5 years ago).

Remove the black section, keep the silver section, but cut the joint by an inch, clamp the filter just right there.

bro trust me, ur tupperware too small. change to a bigger one. one dyno run will prove everything.

If change to bigger onces ..how to fit wor ? ..Even this small tupperware also had difficulties when placing the battery ..Hmm ..Not sure what you meant by big ..

PocRoc: You do the weirdest things.... I know what you can do next. A special place for your "pet" in the car.
