due to high idling rpm, i searched the internet and found a method to tune the RPM back to 750 without using the computer, all done manually.

I have tried it and it worked. initially RPM was idling at 1000, after retune, it is now 750 to 800.

Hope this info helps everyone here.

DIY Steps in tuning the throttle valve idle position
----------------------------------------------------

!!! Warning: whatever you do, do not touch the orientation of throttle valve position switch & sensor , unless you cannot complete Step 4 !!!

things you need:
1 x multimeter to check ohm
1 x 30cm by 3cm cloth

Terminology:
Throttle Drum - throttle valve open/close lever pulled bu cable from gas paddle
Throttle Opener - the metal cylinder with rod in the middle that is control by vacumm
Throttle Stopper - small screw with a nut to set the position of throttle drum at idling when engine start

Step 1:
- stop engine.
- Confirm that Throttle Opener Rod is in contact with Throttle Drum.
- Confirm that there is a clearance between Throttle Drum and Throttle Stopper.

Step 2:
- start engine, let it idle.
- Confirm that Throttle Opener Rod moves backwards, there is clearance between Throttle Opener Rod and Throttle Drum.
- Confirm that Throttle Drum touches Throttle Stopper.

Step 3:
- start engine, let it warm up to normal operating temperature.
- use the 30cm by 3cm cloth to pull the Throttle Opener Rod back firmly.
- stop engine, the Throttle Opener Rod should not touch Throttle Drum.

Step 4:
- disconnect both throttle position switch(grey connector) and sensor(brown connector) connector.
- use multimeter-ohm setting, check throttle position switch(grey connector) terminals 4 and 5 (upper 2 pin).
- (A) Throttle Drum at idle position, you should get: near-zero ohm reading on multimeter-ohm setting
- (B) push Throttle Drum slightly open (1mm away from Throttle Stopper), you should get: non-zero ohm reading on multimeter-ohm setting
- if (A) or (B) not ok, turn the Throttle Stopper screw clockwise or counterclockwise slightly until you get both (A) and (B) are ok

Step 5:
- start engine, and let it warm up to normal operating temperature
- stop engine
- (A) turn ignition switch to "ON" position and wait at least 5 seconds
- (B) turn ignition switch to "OFF" position and wait at least 10 seconds
- repeat (A) and (B) for 20 times
- start engine, and let it warm up to normal operating temperature
- rev engine 2000 to 3000 rpm for 2 or 3 times

Step 6:
- remove 30cm by 3cm cloth
- re-check Step 1 & Step 2 are ok

Step 7:
- start engine and let it idle
- for A/T, RPM should be around 650 to 750, if not perform "Idle Air Volume Learning"

DIY Steps in Idle Air Volume Learning
--------------------------------------------

things you need:
1 x multimeter to check voltage
1 x 30cm by 3cm cloth

Step 1:
- start engine and let it idle and warm up to normal operating temperature.
- battery voltage at least 12.9V
- off all electrical loads
- use the 30cm by 3cm cloth to pull the Throttle Opener Rod back firmly.
- stop engine, the Throttle Opener Rod should not touch Throttle Drum.

Step 2:
- a) Turn ignition switch “ON” and wait at least 1 second.
- b) Turn ignition switch “OFF” and wait at least 10 seconds.
- c) start engine and warm up to normal operating temperature.
- d) Turn ignition switch “OFF” and wait at least 10 seconds.
- e) Start the engine and let it idle for at least 30 seconds.
- f) Disconnect throttle position sensor harness connector (brown connector), then reconnect it within 5 seconds.
- g) Wait 20 seconds.
- h) Make sure that idle speed is within specifications
- i) Rev up the engine two or three times. Make sure that idle speed and ignition timing are within specifications.

I m sorry, I do not know how to do it for air con on idling.

Most probably it requires computer to do the setting.

I couldn't find anyone to fix the dents on my car. Everyone said it was not worth it or it was too expensive. If found http://mastermatchauto.com in long beach,ca 90815 and they came to me! They are working on my car right now doing the body work, primer, dent removal, primer, sanding, base coat, and clear coat paint job. I saw their site and the quality auto refinishing and dent repair and I felt confident and safe with them. They have some nice classic cars, porsches, and even...
