Alhamdulillah, this is encouraging. Please specify if its just you or +1 as there are girls living at the home and aside from that Ustaz Yahya's wife usually has a separate section for women who come and buka puasa at their centre.

Will approach them soon in a couple of days when we have >10 people. I hope they won't have any commitments on the 13th.

Taking into account the price of buka puasa at restaurants during Ramadan, I believe its a fair amount. The caterers and choice of food will be entirely up to the children and handled directly by Ustaz Yahya.

Looking forward to everyone's response. As of now, the following have committed financially to the event:

Really hoping to get as many people involved as possible. Keep in mind that its for a good cause and for a sum which is less than what a full tank of petrol costs nowadays, its no different from going up to GTJ but with the added bonus of making a difference in the lives of others.

Maybe after Raya we'll do something involving homeless people or the handicapped. Perhaps we could start a community/charity outreach program with events maybe 2-3 times a year. Let's do this first for now.
