For Evo boost meter, use digital (greddy) or Analog type(Defi) ?
What the advantages and disadvantages for both type ?

DEFI Analog vs Greddy Digital doesn't give much different in term of accuracy (Normal use)
DEFI Analog is just an old technology and in the market for very long time.
Also has been used by many on the road/racing/events.

Advantage of using the Greddy Digital (Multi D/A Gauges) will save u space to hide the meter.
Also cost much less compare to DEFI whole set (3 or more gauges).

dkny,
What do u mean by "Digital more stable and easy to control"?
The gauge just a display unit to indicate the reading.
You unable to control the boost from your gauges.
Just able to set warning signal/light when you hit the maximum setting.

If by mean of control, I assume is about boost controller?

dkny,
If you want Boost meter with able to control the boost.
You may look for Greddy Profec Oled or HKS EVC.

If you want to be function as display gauges only.
DEFI and Greddy Multi D/A is more popular.

Which type u use Bro?
And what u recommend ?
I not sure to buy either Defi one, or Greddy Digital with boost controller.
One of my friend mentioned, Greddy with controller can set/restrict the pressure to secure your engine.
But defi only to display, cant setting.

dkny,
I used DEFI for the boost gauges and Haltech systems for the boost controller.
If you want to control the boost Greddy or HKS is a good product.

If original stock engine no need to worry about the boost control.
Its already set in safe mode... a gauges enough to monitor.
the cheapest to control boost is using mechanical type.
Reliable and easy to tweak, keep as spare for emergency.

bro dkny,

what is the real question now? do u just want to monitor the boost or are u going play ard with your boost setting?

because if only the analogue gauge, u can only monitor the boost level but u unable to play ard with the setting.

most of the new boost controller (electronic type) comes with the display. this kind of boost controller can let you monitor ur boost level and at the same time can adjust the boost either higher or lower.

for me, i have both of them but rarely used the boost controller to monitor the boost. personally i prefer analogue type to monitor the boost

Just go with the digital. Preferably with defi advance ZD compact + 1 boost meter. Less crowded in your car and less attention for the thief.
