I'm using a Proton Wira 1.5GL(A). I'm yet to service my auto transmission fluid. my mileage is 52K.

I would like to know about the AT dip stick. It has 3 part.

Cold, Hot and Adjust when is hot.

What is the meaning of all this 3 parts along the dip stick of the gearbox?

Please help.:_:

Cold is when the engine has been shut down for several hours and is in its ' cold ' state

Hot is when the engine is at its ' operating ' temperature which means driving the car for perhaps 10 mins .

Make sure the car is on a level road when checking your fluid level .

for 52k , I suggest you go and flush your ATF and replace with Proton ATF .

Cost is approx RM38 per ltr .

U should service the auto gearbox every 20,000 kms. Less if u always rev 6000-7000 RPMs daily. I service mine every 15000 kms using Castrol ATF. Good enough until my next gearbox rebuild project.

i did mine: machine flush ATF + refill proton ori ATF for a quite cheap price

Non-ori bulk barrel dexron 3 ATF : RM9 / litre (provide by mech, for machine "washing" auto box use, the cleaner d autobox, the less consumption of this fluid, i use a few litre only)

Ori Proton ATF : RM19/litre (for refill-up clean ATf fluid, i used 3 litre only) (bought fr spare part shop)

Ori proton ATF filter: RMXX (forgoten how much, but i think < rm40)

Labour : about rm50

Additional treatment : add in if u want (eg Lubegard rm50 per small bottle)

So cost wise < rm270 as u mentioned above

Had a Triton 2.5 non-VGT with 4D56 DI-D engine ...

Thinking of a turbo upgrade as the engine revs to around 3000 rpm and run out of steam already ...

Does anyone done this before and can recommend which turbo are suitable for the engine ?

Doesnt wanna get crazy power and was hope for minimal turbo lag and more usable more across the rev range ...

Thanks =)
