1.6 vtec SOHC (A) engine...what can i do with that??

elo...guys. i just got my Honda Civic with N/A (A) engine. Thinking of changing my gearbox...but relax dulu. Money talk....so before i make any extreme modifacation..what can i do...to tuned up my car perfomance...:shades_smile: ..thanks

for honda, i think the best way to get power is to do an engine transplant. just save the money that that u r thinking on spending for power upgrades fr ur SOHC engine for a DOHC VTEC engine.

SOHC VTEC engines are not really a good platform for modding

better u get B16A. .. ur engine change gearbox,upah n etc etc.. u do slowy2 also.. take cost. better u keep some money .. rilekxx.. if time is rite.. dump 1 whole B16A.. cheers!

Ek hafkat a bit expensive compared to EG... not really sure about the price. most probably more than 5k... installation can vary from 1k to 1.5k.

you can do a search in honda corner for EK hafkat price.

engine transplant is best... lots of my fren who had d15 upgraded to B16A oledi in their car. damn im jeles le.. but then no money no talk le.. for me still cont tuning D15 engine coz cant afford big lumpsum of money.....

If installing turbo, got any problem ka? normally with head gesket for a start, then the piston rings and so on. Any comment??
