Answered in Hankook V12 topic....Hi guys...my OE tyre was 185/60/15 and I changed my rims and tyre to 195/50/16 but this size really hard to find a god tyre...if I want change go 205/45/16 or 205/50/16 which 1 will more suitable?or 195/50/16 have good tyre recommend?recently looking for Hankook
These two tyre models have your tyre size? 195/50R16 size have very limited tyre choices.current CPC2's are nearing its end of life already after a hard 20k KM of mostly spirited driving, I still prefer sticking to 195/50/16 for the comfy ride, now thinking to get either the Momo Outrun M3 or the Dunlop Direzza DZ102..
yup, for the DZ102, http://www.dunloptyres.com.my/products/passenger-tyres/direzza-dz102/These two tyre models have your tyre size? 195/50R16 size have very limited tyre choices.
what's the stock rim width boy96 ? if 6jj it would look funny with 205 tires
But 195 to 205 is just a little wider only and can still use the same 6.5jj rims. I think should not be noticeable. But small car with big wide wheels will be heavy.....hahhahah
Not sure what car it is, I just assume 195/50/16 is the std original size so upgrading to 205/50/16 should not be much of an issue. But if the car is really a small econo car, if I were him I'd actually downgrade to lightweight 15' rims and use 195/55/15 tires. That will give the best of everything: many choices of UHP tires, much more comfortable than 195/50/16, will give better performance and may even improve FC slightly. For a small capacity car going wider and also the diameter bigger by 1.66% may take up a lot of power. Of course the tyre size will have more choices....
Hahaha yeah, for most people that is the case. For me, I don't have a problem downsizing rims if it will make the car better overall. If I were to buy those cars that now comes std with what I consider oversized rims like the Mazda 6, I'd downsize it without thinking twice!Problem is already come with the car, and usually will upgrade, very rare to down grade.....lol
Was about to mention the Mazda 6 also. My wife colleague already mentioned it will cost a bomb for 19" tyres.....lolHahaha yeah, for most people that is the case.
