Top speed wont be too much of a factor for me i guess. It’s unlikely that I can drive above 180 most of the time anyway. IMO, i dont think it’s considerably safe/ideal to drive above 180 at malaysia roads with a wira chassis c97 despite that upgrades such as (1) autofoam done, (2) complete chassis bars, (3) bc racing v1 threaded coilovers, (4) enkei tuning rims with ps4 rubber, (5) stiff rings, and (6) reviving all suspension bushings *this is some car handling upgrades I’ve done*

Drive gentle, be gentle. Engine old jor. I’m getting old too. A little excitement when wanted is good enough hahahah

C97 chassis here too. No problem as long you gain the speed gradually and not launching from every stop. I have all your setup except stiff ring and foaming.
I drive manual gb lah btw. Car can hit 180 occasionally. Since is my daily drive, no way i going to push it everyday.

the lightest i see before te37 16 inch about 5.5kg+

my peak torque is at 4600rpm and my peak power is 6000 rpm (damn ridiculous for an autobox). so yeah, most of the time i will maintain driving at peak torque between 4000-4600 rpm. u always know where the sweet spot is when cruising.


i still havent reach 240kmh on my stock speedometer. hahahahaha

My meter 220kph, but 190 cut, so cannot reach......hahhahhahaha

PS4 quite cheap compare in Penang. Here 205/50/16 cost rm430/pcs.
KL price cheaper actually. Make me think go KL for rubber. lol...

You should try autofoaming. Felt miles apart for the chassis. Stiff ring, helps abit but not too distinctive imo. I’ll probably be cruising around 130-150 since the meaty torque band is between 3 to 4.5k rpm.

Agreed. Assuming one piece save you bout 50 bucks at minimum, four corner is at 200 d. Include spare tyre, at least 250 savings? Worthhhh

need front chassis spot weld if hard launch everyday. i've seen a few c97 ripped their front chassis because of that. ahahaha

7.7kg is ok la for 16". my 15" taiwan enkei RCT4 copy is 7kg/each.

Actually my ex colleague gave me his speed limit defender, which when attached to the ecu will over ride the cut, but did not fit.......lol

Engine rebuild almost done. Pending hoses installation, head cover and some minor parts spray. Still, felt like so much more work pending to be done. Although, this journey has been so meaningful and fun to me. I didn’t expect it to be so fun, but it is. Here some pics to share with you guys! I hope you enjoy!

Are the GSR servo twin layer? If not, get the Evo servo will be better.

Mine gsr use honda crv servo due to halfcut unit last 1/2 yr only.

No problem. My first cap ayam wheels is rpo1 15 inch = 7kg.
Then change to ssr type-c 15 inch used ori. Less than 4kg.
Slowly enhanced ur ride quality, handling...etc = sacrifice some comfort. You'd be surprise u can push more with confident.
Engine leave it stock first. More than enough for daily drive.

i'm on evo servo with gsr front calipers. should get evo servos. price around RM120-200. u don't wanna have your twin pots locking up on u. not fun. hahaha. Some 15" can clear evo twin pots btw. I don't go 16" because of the tire price. LOL.
