Just starting this thread for discussion purposes. I hope I won't get flamed for starting this.
As most people know, VW cars with DSG are always plague with their gearbox failures and problems. So, to solve this problem, is there anyone in our country who swapped their DSG into manual transmission sourced from their European siblings? It is cheaper to maintain the manual gearbox too compared to DSG.
I've read before UK Top Gear magazine reviews of Golf GTI and other VW cars. They seemed to prefer opting for manual option instead of DSG.
If this can be done here, then I guess it should solve the main problem of VW cars over here?
