dear racers n drivers,

hm... i'm right here helping a friend to upgrade his
lil' daihatsu espri 1.0 ori engine. any advice??
he just changed a normal original muffler and NGK
proton sparkplugs.
please list down any cheap, good, expensive, little
updates, with approx. PRICE.

erm, i guess since you asked racers and all, means he is searching for power. and its best for ihm to decide what kinda engine he wanna play with, wether its a 1.0 or 1.3 or 1.6. wether he wanna play NA or turbo, then with those kinda information, maybe we could help more :D

my opinion... engine transplant is the cheapest way to feel the full result...

erm,well, if he is a real daihard, you could go for the standard mods first like exhaust system and the air system, then go for good suspensions and brakes, then later port and polish it and the finale,the cams ;)

but, maybe a HC-E upgrade might be nice, and its also legal ;) as the espri's body is heavier than the aura's

First of all you should ask your friend.What he want??
Performance?ICE?Focus on handling?comfort? etc etc
From what the needs only then go for what to do to the car.
And of course,you can't hit two bird with a stone.You gonna sacrifice comfort for performance and vice versa
The main objective i reckon is that to just have a stage 1 mod all round balance to the car.
