I think we are not the only 2 supporters who realised that goals are leaking in from the left.
Mostly from the left.
I think it's a case of complacency. If we look at it, LB is the only position that we do not have ample cover. The Da Silvas simply wasn't ready physically yet. So i uspposed Evra is taking things for granted.
It was a bad experience but it could be a blessing in disguise.
We;ve experienced this kinda things before as well though it's rare.
Remember 0-5 Newcastle; 0-5 Chelsea; 1-4 Liverfool and also those losses to Barca.
These are all painful losses where we just simply did not turn up.
the signs had been there but we managed to dig ourselves outta the grave everytime.
We flattered to deceive.
Whilst the experience sux, that is not to say we are a bad team. Far from that.
But this kinda beating, hopefully will put some players into perspective.
Some of them are simply not Man Utd material and they can't always hide behind their better teammates.
Players like Evans, Fletcher, Anderson, Evra and even Ferdinand. They all had their glimpses of brilliance here and there and every now and then (except for Evans, who like Gibson had been consistently atrocious) but they simply had not been performing at the level expected of them on a consistent basis.
Fletcher was a good DM and that's about it. We can't expect him to be a playmaker. We wasn't that type of material. And coming back from a virus doesn;t help his cause.
Anderson, like i said time and again, had been blowing hot and cold. And he simply doesn;'t run enough. Im afraid he could turn out to be another Veron. Just like Carrick and Gibson, the trio have a very bad tendency to just jog around the pitch, very much unlike Cleverley who have another change in gear when it comes to pace.
Let's just hope we will take a step back and make two steps forward and hope that the Cleverly promise was for real.
