Lamborghini Newport Beach Receives the Sesto Elemento

Remember the Sesto Elemento? This space-age concept car built by Lamborghini was recently announced by them to be put into a limited-run production that will not only be in the reaches of the riches, but also to be allowed only on the tracks as it is nowhere near in being road-legal.

And among those lucky enough to receive the first units of this rare Bull is Lamborghini Newport Beach, where they had just got their Sesto Elemento to be displayed in their showroom. This is also among the first appearances the Sesto will make stateside besides of at the 2012 Monterey Car Week, although the car had been launched at the Paris Motor Show far back in 2010.

With a V10 engine lifted from the Gallardo Superleggera, this 570-horsepower concept could reach an impressive century sprint of only 2.5 seconds! And most of that is thanks to the extremely lightweight carbon fiber construction that gives the Sesto Elemento an overall weight of a feather in the supercar world at just 999 kilograms. With a power-to-weight ratio of 1.75 kilograms per horsepower, this Bull can really fly when it gets down on the tracks.

But do not get your hopes to high to see the Sesto down at our local Lamborghini showroom as although this limited 20-unit concept supercar comes with a $2.2 million price tag, it is reported that all of them had already been sold.
