is it a bulb problem? can i just change the bulb without touching other parts? if yes, any ideas?

Yup ... HID (High Intensity Discharge) is the design name of the type light source ... Xenon is one of the original manufacturer of HID

what is Xenon?

errr...correction:

HID: High Intensity Discharge - layman terms for very bright gas (light) discharge
Xenon: the name of the gas to produce the very bright (HID) discharge

so in car terms, it is the same thing

my 2 cents

Yes, Xenon is also a colorless, odorless and tasteless element in noble gas group, with an atomic number of 54, and blah .... blaaaah ....., blaaaaaaah ....., blah, blah ...

Alternatively it can also mean "stranger" in Greek.
