earl-ku, tis is a uhf walkie talkie... i think it produce 4W.... it will giv u 5km... It is better then tk-1118.... Tk-1118 can set the feq witout plug to computer.. but tis model need to plug to set freq.... But tis model last long then tk-1118... range is further.. n clearer....

bump!!!~~` tis product is very good..... no regret buying tis walkie.. battery last longer then motorola talkabout... motorola talkabout battery can't last long.. i jus saying the truth... cos many of my member buy the motorola walkie talkie for 3km n 5km.... it is easy to use.. but battery not good...

Well i use kenwood tk-1118 b4... the walkie can last for 6hrs non stop.... tis model i haven use... i will update .. but i comfirm can last longer then 6hr non stop.... tis is a amutuer type....

• Time-Out Timer
  When the preset continuous transmit limit is reached, the time-out timer automatically switches the TK-3107 to receive operation. This limits per transmission talk time of each unit to help reduce channel congestion and conserve battery power.
• Battery-Saver
  This feature automatically puts the radio in "sleep" mode to conserve power when it has been in standby mode (no transmit or receive) for more than the present limit.
• Two-Colour LED
  For added convenience, the two colour LED indicator lights red for transmit and green for an active channel.
• Low-Battery Alert
  The flashing red LED indicator warns you when the battery should be re-charged.
