hey guys, i viewed an evo8 yesterday and was checking for confirmation on the year of make. the seat belt tag was cut-off while its impossible to see the label on the air-cond compressor. any other ways i can check the year of make of the car? i have asked for a copy of the AP and am still waiting for it but i'm afraid that the AP date can be faked as well. any ideas/advise is very much appreciated.

i don think u have other way bro.. those dealer and the custom ppl and the imegriation ppl all pakat edi 1 .. when they overdeclare the car or underdeclare the car... there is no way for u to see the real date 1 ... .. this is been done at japan not here in malaysia......

is a small matter bro..... my advise.. don care about the year of made... see the car condition if u like the car and the condition is ok.. proceed with the sales........

if u want 2 think about the year of made and want 2 find a seat belt that hasnt been cut.. then u have 2 2nd car evo8 which is import baru at that time........

nowdays recond market very dirty.. if u want 2 find out there is no way.. eg.. the original mileage.. all surely tune edi 1 ... .. just close 1 eye and don bother.. if u like the car proceed with the sales.. .

i have a very bad experience with the seller. now i don't even know if its a genuine sale or not. first the car belongs to akemal's (the contact person listed in the selling thread) uncle. we then agreed to view the car today at 1:00pm at Taman Tun. after calling the uncle (who's supposed to be the owner) around 12:50pm, he said that he is not the owner and that it is his boss who owns the car. after calling the boss, then his boss said that he doesn't own the car and the owner is apparently not in town. WTH?????!!!!!

DON'T SIMPLY WASTE OTHER PEOPLE'S TIME LA!!!
