Which one is the best for VTEC engine?

There's a lot of brands...so much.Could anyone tell me which brand and model is the best for VTEC engine?And what brand is OK for VTEC becoz the BEST must be expensive?Got low budget la Bro..Tq.

looking 4 VTEC engine meh?? easy 2 say,low budget but ok = B16A, GOT RITE budget more than ok=B18C aka TYPE R!! all vtec machine are OK!! lasak, boleh blasah bila2 jer.. not like turbo, so pampet!! (hahahah..) if u r using ek body so the best is looking 4 ek halfcut,same goes to eg and ect.. of course u can "rojak" but final end not s good s original set up!! final ask urself, r u looking for POWER or for AUTOSALON?? if u plan for autosaloon aka mat bunga,B16A jz nice lah.. but if u looking for pure POWER!! type R machine is d answer!! but remember..to have a type r machine,it just a begining... :)

Bro..actually i'm asking about the ECU.Sorry2..Which ECU model and brand is the best for VTEC engine?I already have B16A under my EK bonnet.And now i want to find a suitable ECU and i want to drop in the B20B block..Microtech is too exspensive.Maybe i'll find another brand but don't really know what brand is good..

how u plan to dump in the b20b?
i saw the car magazine talk about this mod.
but no mentioned for the ecu mod.becoz it talk about crv b20b mod to vtec.
so they use b16a head and also ecu.
but the internal wise,cam is from b18c becoz the inhale and exhale degree of b18c is much more nigger than b16a.
thus the lift duration would be extend.
u wan more details?let me get back and read it one more time

looking 4 ECU?? :) e-manage is the most cheaper in the market, around rm1500 u can have this on ur car..can be tune up for every 500rpm,quite gud but nor that gud compare to haltech, microtech,motec,bla..bla..if u plan put in 2 liter in ur bonet,than u must have one of this things, but if it is for ur standard engine,not much diffrent r bro..only a few hp on screen but yet almost the same on tha pedal,unless it is tune by mr.fujimura,that diffrent storylah..my fren use to have this gajet on his car with standard engine, like i said,not much diffrentlah bro.. but u make a final call..but for 2liter..marvellous!! :) by the way..1.6 type R cam are MORE POWER then 1.8 type R cam..believe it!! :):shades_smile:

but i remember from 12xhp of b20b crv,after matched with b16a head.it become 23xhp already

Owh..ok then.I just can't afford the price of Microtech..EXPENSIVE!!!Maybe after this i'll go find E-Manage,and then drop in the CRV block.Then duduk diam2 coz got no money.Hehe..Ok all..thanks for your help.If you got any info,please pm me..Thanks again..

i read one more time the magazine yesterday nite.
injector remain b20b is enuf since vtec kick in does not required much fuel,emanage can handle already.
intake manifold take from b16a,not b16b or b18c.coz b16a intake manifold shorter,for better throttle response.
valve of b16a/b18c is 58.5mm,b16b is 60mm and b18c type r is 62mm.so chose b 18c type r is the best.
after converted;231ps.

i think there is a problem with ur reading stuff, may i know which magezine u reffering to?? and i pretty sure that the WRITTER of the magezine are totally dumb!!! he doesnt know bout the car,(vtec xpecially!!) and he doesnt know wat he wrote truely!! according to ur statement which is base on his statement,u acctually make fool of urself if u are talking with otai dragger/pure racer!! i dare to bet with the writter of that magazine,he used 20b and all the part that he claim vs my standard modified b18c!! bukan cakap besar tapi 231hp,is too much for b20b that using those part which u claim!! BUT..i repeat BUT there is b20b yg dpt 230hp tetapi that machine not using those "cap ayam" part!! those intakeb16a intake,just suitable for 'autosalon/kete awek' only lah bro..and i conffiuse when u talking bout valve?? u mean using b18c type R valve spring?? get real lah bro..but for e-manage still can be used (wanted ek9) but one thing 4 sure if u (wanted ek9) doing eztually like in the magazine which Kob3bryant told u,ur machine will get not more than 160hp or ever whost!!! proof it and tell me m wrong..!!

1st lu kene tanya diri lu sendri, lu bikin 2liter nak main or just nak sedap bawak jer..tu yg penting!! pasal kalau lu nak tahu 2liter nie block dia x tahan sgt, cepat pecah!! kalau stakat nak buat motong, gua nasihatkan pakai standard jer..lu bleh pakai 2liter tapi lu jgn harap hp bleh dapat sampai 230hp mcm dlm magezine tu,tu semua dusta semata2!! and kalu lu nak tahu lagi kat kl ader satu tempat dyno yg 'giler',pasal aper gua ckp giler pasal kalau lu dyno enjin standard b16a dorg bleh tune sampai 200++hp, kalau b18c bleh dpt250++hp, and for b20b bleh dapat sampai 320hp!!! logic ker?? evo9 2000cc+turbo+mivec pun baru 280hp,yg MR bleh pegi sampai 310hp,tu standard kilang, kalau g tune kat dorg mau 500hp gua rasa!! mau mati engineer jepun tgk!! hahahahhaa....

kalau lu betul2 mau buat byk benda nak kene tukar bro..bukan main seribu dua..so lu decide r..gua bleh ckp tapi byk sgt r and then nak kene citer panjang lebar r..gua lenguh r type..sorry r bro..gua nie malas skit..hehehhe..

First of all..lu ni melayu ke bkn?Ok2..bila aku dgr p'kataan 'pecah' yg malas tu. Kalau aku nak modify b16a je,apa yg aku nak kena buat ek?Buat masa ni,aku belum nak buat kete eku jd kapal terbang lg..hehe..so aku mintak tlg sgt2,kalau boleh bg tau.Sbb aku ni baru2 lg main kete.Pasal kete ni plak,lain org lain cara. Aku tak nak la hp sampai 230..240..(bkn tak nak,tp takde $$$)aku just nak modify so that aku boleh potong mivec 1.6.Tak boleh tahan la kena bakar byk2 kali.Dpt potong kete tu sebijik jadi laa bro..Lg satu,ada mana2 kedai yg boleh pecaye tak?Sometimes ada yg tak boleh caye..Thanks Bro..

Aku rasa..tukar block kene guna byk $$$ and kalau modify b16a pon guna byk $$$,so,kalau boleh,bg tau mana satu lg sedap.Just nak tau opinion kau..For now,aku juz ade budget utk engine kosong B20,e-manage ecu dgn upah pasang.Selain dr tu apa yg penting yg aku kene buat?Tgh tunggu duit masok la beb..Ahaks!
