I would say 80% I'm gonna install a turbo. The 20% hold me back is due to worrying of blowing up the apex seal and other O-ring. Will drive it for few months 1st, to slowly upgrading other parts. Once I have fully prepare to blow up something, then I just go for a turbo kit. I was not impress with the power during test drive the type S. It was powerful but don't have the pulling effect like some turbo car.
Bro if you want power, in the first place you shouldn't had bought a RX8. The car is designed non turbo and it is lack of power compared to a RX7. You should get a RX7 if you are a Rotary enthusiasts. If you are not, then you should get a WRX or any other performance car with turbo.
S15 got more space in the back than RX7.... and generally S15's body is heavier thus the ride is more comfy and not as noisy as RX7....and due to the age of the car, S15 is not as fragile as RX7.
but ... what the heck... see my sign... u know what i drive :)
get a RX8.. strip the engine.... put the largest turbo u can see... put the strongest Apex Seal every.... and tune with the best system available... you have the RX8 style and also the POWER.....
Bro, I think I'm too old to handle 5-600hp. And the twin/tripple plate clutch may cause my leg big at 1 side :_: . I think BOT + light fly wheel (maybe final drive as well) + good tunning is enough for me. If possible, I'll try to find the stronger apex seal as you mention above. Regardless how fast, I know I will never beat a modded RX7, R34 or Supra.
