what is that thing called? how much it cost?(to put oil temp sensor)

hi all..
someone told me
there is one 'adaptor' thing
that can put into the oil filter place..
(between the oil filter and the oil pan)
then can out the oil temp sensor there

what is that thing called ar?
expensive or not?

Can custom make by any machinist , not more that hundred.....
Or you can buy from Greedy but abit pricy, they are call it OIL BLOCK ADAPTER
