UV tint vs black tints

Putting curtains is stupid, besides unable to look inside, the ppl in d car cant look out either. You sound like u abide by the rules very well, so if thats the case, whether other ppl put sunshades or tint their rear windscreen dark, YOU shud not be following so close n shud observe the "safe" distance between u n the front car that we were taught in driving school. Not in all occasion we r able to see 2 cars ahead of us anyway, so u're gonna blame the buses, lorries, vans, n all the other taller vehicles too? Same goes when it's raining. So tinting isnt a problem here.

IF tinting was legal, police would still have to check/stop cars with dark tints n have a routine ID check n let go those ppl who r innocent. Not like Police now, going around catchin any car with dark tints or any modded shit n EXTORT money from them.

Keep ur eyes on the road buddy.. I would hate if u caused an accident. There's the Random Girls Thread. Hahahaa..

Of course its the BEST excuse. What else do we do tinting for? (Of coz im not talking about those cheap black tints here) .. And not every1 can afford V-Cool which costs like 2K+. Sorry rich guy.... Peace.

I like to pride myself as someone who abide by the rules, thank you. Like it or not, i do use the 2 car ahead braking to judge my own braking distance. When i say heavy traffic conditions, it simply means traffic a 5pm in Federal Highway. Not many of us have the luxury of having a 5,6 car gap at that time. Either you get honked or people start cutting into your lanes like nobody's business. Trust me, it helps when you can see the car ahead thru the windscreen of the immediate front car.

Nice try on random girls pic thread. Haha. Tell me you're not gay? Don't tell me you don't check out chics inside the car? Well when i say check out chics, i meant a glance, not a full body scan. Doubt you'll cause an accident just by a glance. Same thing as looking at your rear mirrow or side mirrors.

Question is, why would your resort to black tint when a clear tint can filter out heat just as good if not better than a full black one. Lets face it, black tint is illegal so if anyone is serious about filtering heat and thats it, he will consider the clear tint without doubt. Thefore i render your "BEST EXCUSE" as irrelevant. The last time i checked, VKool for sedan cars is about RM 1600+. RM2000+ is for SUV or MPV's. To be really honest with you, i'm not a rich guy and i'm serious about it. However, i just happen to invest in something i feel really helps. Plus it guarantees against peeling and discoloration. Against the cheaper tints, you're not assured of discoloration and by the 3rd year, you'll hate yourself for fitting a cheap tint and how should have invested in VKool.

Peace...

If u happen to be side by side with a car that is fully tinted, cant even see inside, and it happens that ur fren/family/relatives is inside crying for help, would u be able to see? And lets say a father left his 1 year old son inside the car (100% black), locked it and went inside a shop or whatever, totally forgot bout his son. Nobody would be able to see. So another front page news the day after. Or maybe page 4 or 5 etc. It's not just about whether the cops do their job properly or not. Alot of things could happen

My 2 cents

Some shops they give you a "certificate" to prove that the tint is within legal limits. But this applies only for those tints not exceeding 40% I think.

dude, u know canny ong's case? u think dat's tinted? i doubt it... cops even flagged them down.... but yet the rapist oso went off with her anyways!
thats the reason why jpj doesnt allow heavy tints... they afraid u might do something illegal in the car... something like berasmara or maksiat... haha....

Even when traffic jams it doesnt mean all the time u'll get to see the car in front of u, even with a normal standard brake u can still brake in time even by following the brake lights of the car in front of u ...

Ehh... Why suddenly talk about gay gay pulak. Hahahaha!! Glancing is normal la during driving, i thought u referred to staring n looking inside the car (i noe many idiot lala chais or mat rempits who does that) , disgrace of a gentlemen.

RM1600+ isnt exactly "cheap" u noe? Even double tinting cheaper (but quality) tints would cost less than RM1k with the same effect. Bout the discoloration, it depends also la ur car care habit or ur daily driving situation. But no doubt VKool would give the best result... without the darkness.

But if speaking of crime activity related to getting away with tinted cars, like Blackhowling said, tinted or not tinted, criminals will go all out to commit a crime, if they're serious about it, or during desperate measures. Nothing will stop them.

ahhh
so no one has used a brand of black tint that cuts off UV? hmm..
yah. my previous car was double tinted too, but trying to source a single layered black tint which does both..

prodigy: tint your car damn black so that when you check out chicks they dont know lah? haha.

Haha, thats the last thing i'll do. Don't wanna get into a JPJ situation and forced to peel off the tint and go for inspection.

Besides, some girls might like the attention too. You never know.

double tint la ... best effect... wahhahaahha!! thats wat my fren's car did .... so cooling, too bad he din do the front if not really cooling ...

i dunno wat is the jpj's beef with tintings .... dun they know how hot is malaysia now? gila . driving on an afternoon/evening in a traffic jam is killing weih..... JPJ shud at least be more lenient !

Have you seen the JPJ cars parked at the JPJ offices? Some of their cars are modified to the max with hundred percent tinting. They enforce the law but they themselves break it.

slip: MUAAHHHHAHAHAHA............... jom! operasi internal sapu

haahahhaahah ops internal sapu..... .... 1 person's dream can start a revolution, if only the nation believed in him. (but too bad most m'sians are the same old boring ppl that are afraid the make changes in this corrupted system) ...

why not ask someone daring enough to go to the jpj office/hq and take all the staff's cars pictures, those with dark tints and modified more than what is allowed, and then send them to the papers, like malay mail

Wahahaha...Business Strategy!!!

As for my case, i kena once before at KL..tat time my car is with goldust tint,
they asked me some question such as :
Officer :"Ada kebenaran pakai cermin gelap? Mengapa cermin kereta gelap & hitam??!
Then i answered them in polite way...
Me : Encik, warna cermin kereta saya warna Gold & bukan hitam! Visible light pun terang dan boleh nampak!
Officer : Oh..begitu! Boleh tunjuk IC & Lesen?
Then once i passed my IC & License to him..he asked me to follow him to Dang Wangi police station for inspection!!! while in the police station, i saw lotsa cars like Harrier, Estima...etc waiting for inspection too!! The best part is, when they check my car is not under hot sun & tats why my Goldust tinting also kena...Damn Sui!!!
So, right now thinking to change my tint this week for a peace of mind driving pleasure...:emoticon_U:

cybernation: dat's y... use transparent 3M is d best.. block harmful UV but transparent...

when they see yr car with tint or in chinese called "keng chi" .. it's like money plastered all over d screen "Ngan chi"... for them to pluck
