escaflowne, I agree with you that the movie had lost the thrill and excitement of the novel because of those modification done to the movie. And I'm sure for those who haven read the novel will had a hard time understanding the movie. The movie lose out much of those small but important detail that will make you understand the story and also the thrill. For example, they lose out the part where there is an extra arm holding a dagger in 'The Last Supper'. This will make you feel more mysterious. How can they simply take out those same details?! escaflowne, I must futher agree with your points: (1) yeah, where is the high tech machine that is being used by Teabing to track Robert and Sophie and also to contact Silas that is being hidden in the loft (2) the zurich bank part, seems easy and fast compare to the novel (3) This is definately a rush job! How can they jump almost the whole journey of Robert and Sophie in England? And somehow, a big library will turn into a gprs phone?! (5) yes, there is a small little hut beside the Roslin chapel and the man that is working as the tour guide in the Roslin was Sophie long lost brother. There are lots of the scenes from the novel that are not reveal in the movie. Somehow I felt so dissapointed with the movie. Great to know that you're also a fan of Dan Brown's novels!:_: But I don't think they will produce the Digital Fortress, Angels and Demons and also Deception Point movie. They only produce Dan Brown's Da Vinci Code because it's the best!
