https://www.zerotohundred.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/GT-Queen-Pageant-Semi-Finals-600x383.jpg JP Performance Motorsport (JPM) has taken the Malaysian leg of the Super GT series to the next level by getting Touch ‘n Go as well as RTM on board as sponsors to make the event more accessible and to reach a wider audience. With a tagline of ‘Life in the Fast Lane,’ it makes perfect sense to get Touch ‘n Go to sponsor the event and make it a completely cashless one, allowing spectators to use their Touch ‘n Go cards to purchase everything at the Sepang International Circuit (SIC), home of the local leg of the series. “We are extremely excited with our participation as the Official Electronic Payment System provider for the Super GT 2011 Series Malaysia. It is truly in line with Touch ‘n Go's tagline ‘Life in the Fast Lane’,” said Hasni Zarina Mohamed Khan, Chief Executive Officer of Touch ‘n Go. As part of the deal, all Super GT tickets come with a free Super GT special edition Touch ‘n Go card, which was revealed by Peter England, Director of Touch ‘n Go. Tickets are priced at RM100, granting access to the grandstand at K Stand seats. https://www.zerotohundred.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/Picture-6-600x399.jpg Pricing for the Super GT Motorshow stands at RM30 and is in the form of the special edition Touch ‘n Go card itself, giving holders access to Hillstand B. As mentioned, the cards can also be used to purchase food, beverages and other merchandise during the Super GT weekend. Spectators are encouraged to reload their Touch ‘n Go cards before coming to SIC itself, although there will be seven reload stations set up at the track itself over the weekend. The se of the Touch ‘n Go cards at the event marks a preview of the company expanding the use of the cards to include merchant outlets such as restaurants and bookstores. JPM has also sealed a deal with RTM, the country’s oldest television station. The deal will allow RTM to broadcast live as well as delayed all the nine rounds of the 2011 Super GT season. RTM will also serve as the host broadcaster for the live telecast of the Malaysian round in Japan through Fuji TV. An influx of tourists is expected for the race and Tourism Selangor has come on board as the Official Tourism Board for the Malaysian round. The buildup event, which was held at Empire Shopping Gallery in Subang, marked the unveiling of the winner’s trophy, which was done by JP Chin, the founder of JPM and David Tan, the General Manager of Tumasek Pewter that crafted the trophy. https://www.zerotohundred.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/Picture-5-600x399.jpg Fans were also treated to a supercar and performance car gathering at the event, which also saw 25 Renault Meganes from the Megane Cup Challenge, one of the support races for the Super GT race, on display. Apart from that, Japanese GT Queen Ayami Sasaki was on hand to meet and greet the fans. The fun continued with the semi finals of the 2011 Super GT Malaysia Queen Search which narrowed down the contestants to the finalist, with the winner set to be announced on race day itself. “As you know, the Super GT is famous for its GT Queens and for the first time, we are holding a pageant to find our first Malaysian GT Queen who will not only win RM2,000 cash, she will also be sent to Japan for professional race queen training,” said TJ Chin, JPM Managing Director. https://www.zerotohundred.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/Picture-1-600x399.jpg
