==================== Saya punya English is not very fluent. I prefer to menggunakan Bahasa Melayu untuk answer saya punya question. Besides, Bahasa Melayu ialah I punya national language. Government kita tidak sepatutnya change subjects using Bahasa Melayu menjadi English sebab I can't understand Jack. Ibu bapa saya should complaint and make a big hu ha supaya government tidak menggunakan English. ==================== Doesn't sound right, does it? Students prefer to answer in a mixture of 2 languages? That's absolutely absurd. It will sound exactly like the extract I have just written above. I still say, use English. They may not know the benefits now, but they will really appreciate the government for doing so when they move on to their tertiary education. Parents should not discourage their children from learning English by complaining. Are we gonna complaint when our children go to college? Are we gonna ask the colleges and universities to use BM in their syllabus? NO!! So why the fuss now? As much as I support patriotism and the use of our very own national language, education is just not the way to do it. I feel the government is doing the right thing by changing all subjects to English and at the same time ensure the importance of the Bahasa Melayu subject. I just don't see the point in fussing over the use of English and making it a whole colossal issue when it is the lingua franca of almost the whole world. It's a defacto standard for most people. When you meet up with people, you just naturally assume they speak English, well at least when you go overseas. Anyway, just my two cents.
