Spring Rate

Hi,


I had ZEAL in my R34 gtr. I think it was 14k front/rear, I would appreciate some feedback on the coil ratings for best road/comfort use and where can I get this 60mm Swift Coilover (or equivalent) for replacement?

Are u using Super Function Type?The spring rate is F 14, R 12 kgf/mm .Sure hard like crazy on normal road, this spec for circuit. I got experience using HKS Hipermax D2 F 10, R 8 k stll feel stiff n bumpy.I`m not sure abt Swift spring dealer in Malaysia, but no problem if getting from Japan or US.

My recommend rate :
Winding, sports
F 8, R 6 kgf/mm

comfort sports
F 5, R 5 kgf/mm

Yes. Super Function Type and it's hard! What about all equal 7 kgf/mm or 6 kgf/mm? what's a diff?

For GTR34 an equal rate is suitable for comfort straight running but not really suitable when attacking G at corner since the car heavier at front. If too soft for front, the car will oversteer. Too hard for front, the car will understeer.

the spec F8, R6 is spec from TEIN type Flex.I believe this spec just nice for both comfort and sports feeling when u attacking corner.
