spark??

ere is.....

my ol' 16v swift can't start.....there is no spark.....

i thin there is prob wif da distributor...last time when i open to clean it...da socket at distributor...where one of wire earth is cut...it cant b soldered...then i remove da socket n make straight connection..n then...it failed 2 start...already check da wire...they r connected correctly wif colour code..n..checked all fuse ok..new spark plug cable...timin belt ok...airflow meter ok....new battery.....

i got the same problem last time but i'm not sure its similar rootcause with yours
i'd change the distributor 2x and each time i change, the car can start as per normal but won't last long.after 2-3 days. its happened again.
the mechanic that troubleshoot it said my starter motor is weak. so he change used one.problem solve right away BUT according to him actually the rootcause is the voltage stability.the car supply is not enough Amp to torque the weak starter motor.normal case, weak starter still can use till it dead.
please check your car voltage. it should be 12.6vdc engine OFF and 13.6vdc during engine ON.the supply should maintain when you ON accs like light,aircond, radio etc..if not, then replace your alternator.get 70A vitara.nice stuff!

do you mean the alternator? i bought it from recond shop at danau kota. they sell a lot of recond (alternator,distributor and starter motor). rm150 for bigger 70A vitara size.3 month warranty. fit nice but a bit bigger than ori.
i've done everything to boost the current but still not comfortable enough for me.by right it's ok. only that i wanna make sure its 100% solved.
norrow down the problem its back to square..wiring!!! tough job haah..anyway, good for the car having supply rather than drop too much.

you know what...i don't think its from the distributor. i use back the old ugly one..with all that i done, i manage to use it until now..hehehe

guys.....thnx very much for all ur info...n...advice....

found my "spark"....its distributor cap...dats da problem.....
center pieces for coil cable.....lost da metal pieces inside.....
solve it wif rm20 new cap...

big thanx to my gud fren who traces it....

nway...hope diz will help 4 all SWIFTER in future....
