R3-Satria (gti)

I have to agree with you there bro. Autocross is about precision, as shown by pros like Ho WK and Dominic. And I too, find it irrelevant whether the car is FF or MR. Besides it adds to the challenge. Speaking of challenge, I always find TA a challenge with one's self, rather than with others. Much like games like bowling (just an example). It's about beating yourself, improving your previous time.

Much to learn!

Bowling and Time Attack.. what a combination:hmmmm:.. hahahaha.

I'm thinkin more like sex with a virgin, hafta be gentle, but not too gentle.
A certain aggresion is needed. Controlled Aggresion

I kinda find that line " it's about beating yourself" a bit disturbing.. spank da monkey anyone??? ..

Yeah I know, bad example. Wanted to actually say 'golf' but lightning would probably have struck me twice.

Adoi, virgin la pulak. But controlled aggression is the word. To know when to stick it in and drive it or to ease on the thrust and pull out. Now that's a challenge. And it takes experience.

Adoi. Hahahah.

Well, you know what they say about men – sex equates to cars equates to food.

How about slapping the salami?

Here's a short review of our SSO4.5 experience, at http://r3gister.blogspot.com/2005/11/r3-street-shootout-45.html

oh btw Faisal-san

very very true drivers make a huge difference in times (HoWK is a great example)
but uncle-Ho uses a 'shorter' ratio 'box wor...

:(

nvm, live and learn! *gaaaaaaaah*

hi crash and ninja,

i hung on to these words to do better times.

if no wheel spin... not fast enough.

have to strike a balance la.. when launching and taking corners,
too much wheels spin no good ma.

didn't attempt any handbrake turns at the hair pins as i know
i am not good at it. so just floor the gas on straights lo..

crash, i couldn't believe the time too. anyways, looking forward
to another weekend of lacing he hee:wink:

donno bout other owners cos my fc used to be quite shitty.. used to get smtg like 300-330km on a full tank.. now my mileage is 10k km.. and getting about 300km on 30litres of gas..

used to be sceptical about shell's claim of "lebih kilometer" but in some weird way im getting it.. so what the heck.. :P

How short is short??? If it's a MIVEC box only FD and fifth is different.

HArdly makes a difference when his 1.6 Wira compared againts a Higher powered 1.8.

A semi-slick shod Satria R3 Stage 2 expertly driven should be in the low 55s, at least

Makes us ponder about what happened, right?

Anyway, with my setup, I'm getting 11km/l on average. Mixed highway/city/insane driving. Fuel used, Mobil/Esso Synergy F1. V-Powder gives the same mileage but more costly, so I avoid it. Petronas worse in terms of consumption and performance.

My thinkin is the drivers need to be modded now. The car is excused of any blame.

I agree la. Whether it's talking about autocrossing or mileage, the driver needs to be re-engineered!

I am more than happy with my SR3 and don't plan to mod it anymore until next year for a LSD g/box + clutch upgrade.

It's really quite up there already in the power + handling department. Should really be amongst the top runners at the SSO!

The driver, the driver, the driver!

just curious.. there's this sr3 who takes quite a similar route as me daily i.e. bukit jalil - kl/sban hway - sg besi - kl.. plate WMS XXXX.. green tints.. u by any chance a forumer here ah? driver looked like a spectacled dude.. just wanna know man.. are those vkools? coz its much greener than the ones ive seen before and very hard to see inside.. my dad is looking for new tints coz his current vkool just too damn clear and dont think he even wants to consider other brands.. so if ur a forumer here.. holla back eh..

I think that's me :) . I'm using that route everyday. It's not a vkool tint but it's carekool jade 8 (ck jade 8 ). Carekool is a new brand. I've been using it almost 3 months.

I installed it at a shop somewhere around puchong. So far I dont have any problems and I really satisfied with it.
