Crash,

I 'm sure the others wanna know more about the Stage 2 Bushes and Bumpsteer kit too. Yaeh more power is great but the handlings something else too.

Oh yes. I'd like to write a full review soon. But here it is in a nutshell – handling is very precise, feedback to and from the steering very honest, very direct. With the bushes, the car is very responsive and sensitive to throttle modulation, brakes and weight transfer. In able hands, this baby will sneak in and out of corners as natural as a car can possibly can.

The car is a lot more tail-happy too, which is nice but you have to be ready to give it some counter lock when the tail steps out. Happened a couple of times even on long sweepers.

It's unbelievably easy to get the tail out, especially on handbrake turns. At the previous SSO, we used to have to really yank at the handbrake!

I love the steering feel. Overall, the car feels very tight. And thanks to the bumpsteer kit, no more being affected by road undulations.

----

Just FYI:
Definition of bumpsteer: Bump-steer is a change in toe angle caused by the suspension moving up or down. Bump-steer is built into the geometry of the suspension and steering system, and has nothing to do with turning the steering wheel. The effect of bump-steer is for the wheel to toe-in or toe-out when the suspension moves up or down. This toe change or "steering" occurs any time the suspension moves, whether it is from body roll, brake-dive, or hitting a bump in the road. Bump steer is undesirable because the suspension is steering the car instead of the driver.

What I really need to do now is download the Stage 2 Driver Upgrade Patch. That and also flash the BIOS to bring the driver up to date with the car.

"What's power without control?"

Actually, its across the road. What you need to do is head down to the traffic lights and make a U. Then turn left. You will see the PESC further down the road.

I lowered my clutch pedal before I hit 1K actually coz I found it way too high. Much better now. There's quite a lot of pedal travel before it disengages and engages, so lowering it helps.

Dear Crash,

Thank you for teasing me on the Federal Highway awhile ago. As I already know, my auto-tranny 4G15 will never be able to catch your celebrated R3, but you didn't actually pull away immediately when i tried to come close, only going as far as a few cars.

Sweet and wicked, your R3 is. For i will never own one (my next car will be a Scooby!) at least now i know what i'm missing out on.

Sincerely pwned,
Kusa

Planning to lower it till the max it can be. Izzit advisable? Yea...currently is way too high, can we lower it at any proton service centre or only R3 centre?

Juz received my car yesterday...the feel of the car.....................SUPERB!!

Did u guys check ur wheel alignment once received the car?

You cannot lower it to the max, because it will slip or is constantly engaged. Not good for the clutch. Get your mech to have it done, but ensure that it does not slip. You can get it done at any workshop actually. I did mine at Revo a while ago.

BTW, please please pay attention to alignment. Don't expect alignment to be perfect when it rolls out of production. No car, not even the expensive marquees have perfect alignment settings when you first drive them. I got mine aligned at 1K. And I'd advise you to do the same at 1K, then 5K. Head on to R3 to get this done and stick to stock settings.

Saves your tires and handles as per spec, so go get it done, bro!
