ok i'm very confuse with this 2 material.

cause i see ppl selling full body kit rm1k+ PU material..

then i ask a shop for skirting only. he selling rm700. i see the product is black colour wan

what's the difference actually.? i'm dam confuse, read in google,
some say PU more expensive but cannot repair, pu product can bend
fiber cheaper, can repair, fiber is hard stuff

end my misery please tell me which is more worth it.

correct me if i m wrong..fiber material easy to crack, pu material more stonger..

ya i think so. but PU once broken consider gone adi i think.
fiber still can repair

If not mistaken, Fiber will looks like silver color and PU will looks like black color. Fiber is easy to crack when you just bang/hit(minor accident)or just hit a stone but yes is easy to repair . While PU is a strong material but I heard my friend said that PU will change the shape if facing the sun too much.

got pro n con...

many criteria need to consider if wanna compare this two..

me personally i prefer fibre...bcoz d way i drive...sometime i just hit whatever in front of me...i mean hole or hump...so if broke..i can easily send to fibre shop to fix n re-paint..

PU is strong as they said....but if it broke..mean u really hit it hard...then u have no option to change d whole thing...if d hit not so hard...just bent..then put some heat sud b ok..also if lucky no need to re-paint too..

if wanna compare about weight..i think almost d same...PU weight is always d same no matter what PU it is...but fibre weight is depend how thick d fibre u use n wat d fibre mix with...

and if d fibre is thick enuf...than it will b hard too...harder than PU..but it make ur car heavy.. heheh

just my 2hp..

but can a skirting price raise up to rm700.? and i think it's made of fiber. cause i see the ready stock. it's black in colour

Fiber come in many colour: White, Grey, or Black. They all the same regardless what colour is it as it is the colour powder to mix with when making the products.

They are using the colour to make you confused as may of them telling you that white is original from Japan, Grey is from Singapore or Taiwan, and Black is local made. BUT...as I mentioned earlier on...they all the same!

PU can sustain minor impact and will still retain the shape, but fiber will crack easy but can be repair with minor cost.

Try not to get local PU as there are many horrible stories bout melting and shape shifting
As mention by huakenny, its better to get hybrid of PU and fiber material. rm700 for a side skirt depends on the "brand" of bodykit you are seeking for. Replica Veilside side skirt would definitely cost much more than replica Nismo side skirt for example.

rm700 for PUF sideskirt is very logic..some brands cost u more

and yes, these all are replica...

i'm getting aftermarket bodykit for my Z as well..maybe next week...let me know if interested..should be cheaper

i get direct from singapore :)

Does anybody know which material will resist stone chips better?

PU or Fiber can withstand more impacts from loose stones on the highway?

If you are talking about stone chips from the road, both of them are the same but the question is your paint will chipped off or not form the stone hitting it.

How about looking at the internal side of the kits to tell the material ..

Internal side of the PU is smooth with no wire mash looking, but with fiber you can clearly visible from the interior. PU is bit more heavy than fiber also, but it can be bent slightly.
