This feature will not only provide more than just a smoother drive but it will also contribute towards fuel efficiency and savings to the user,” he added.Compared to the traditional automatic transmission, the use of a CVT transmission can reduce the transmission weight by up to 20 per cent without compromising on capabilities. CVT allows the car to switch gear ratios seamlessly, eliminating transmission shock. It can also offer different driving modes to suit the driver’s preference.Testing by Proton has shown that using a CVT can reduce fuel consumption by up to four per cent in urban driving conditions and by almost 10 per cent on the highway. Furthermore, it CVT also reduced emissions by five per cent.“Proton is consistently improving its cars; from build quality to the introduction of various technologies to enhance its engine and driving capabilities. The inclusion of CVT to our next generation of cars will not only keep us on a technological par with major automakers but will also contribute positively towards providing Malaysians with greater value for their money,” said Syed Zainal.</blockquote>

Turbo for carb. engine and workshop

Hi Guys....

Just need to know how does a Turbo work on carb. engine is it same as on EFI engine.....any workshop rekomended to do custom Turbo....in which case i buy the part the provide the expertise.Tq

RB20/25 Turbine

Anyone know this : The exhaust housing from RB20 can be changed to match the RB25 unit? If so, theoritically, the RB20 exhaust + RB25 inlet housing match would spool faster? Thank you
