Since th new PM can on board, how many times have the fuel prices increased??Maybe its time for Abdullah Badawi to step down and let some others become PM for a change. They never admit that this country's inflation rate is higher compared to other countries. They're just a bunch of dickheads.

How amny times has the fuel prices increased since Abdullah Badawi came to power. I'm just fed up sick that always fuel prices are increasing but salary never increase thus causing high inflation. I think that Abdullah Badawi should step down from being PM and go back to the village life that he's good at.

Fuel Prices Up Again, 20 Sen Hike For Diesel, 10 Sen For Petrol
30 Jul 2005

KUALA LUMPUR, July 30 (Bernama) -- The government Saturday announced increases in the retail price for diesel, petrol and LPG (liquefied petroleum gas) by 20 sen, 10 sen and five sen per litre effective Sunday.

The Prime Minister's Office, in a press statement tonight, said the increase was part of government efforts to tackle the impact of the increase in the crude oil price in the world market and to check the increase in subsidy which the government had to bear.

With the latest increase, the retail price for premium petrol (RON97) in Peninsular Malaysia is now RM1.62 per litre, petrol (RON 92) RM1.58 per litre, diesel RM1.281 per litre and LPG RM1.45 per kilogram.

In Sabah and Sarawak, the new retail price for RON 97 is RM1.60 and RM1.61 per litre respectively, RON 92 RM1.58 in both states, while diesel is RM1.284 and RM1.278 per litre respectively while LPG is RM1.53 per kilogram in both states.

This is the second time the government had announced increases in the prices of petroleum products within a two-month period. The last price increase was in May.

At the same time, the government also announced a 20 sen increase in the subsidy for fishermen from 44.1 sen to 64.1 sen per litre. This means that fishermen will be able to buy subsidised diesel at around RM1.20.

This was because the government was very concerned about the burden borne by fishermen who were buying subsidised diesel at a much higher price compared to the price enjoyed by land transport operators.

According to the statement, the government had been bearing the subsidy for petroleum products which was rising. The subsidy borne in 2004 amounted to RM4.8 billion and the figure was expected to increase to RM6.63 billion by the end of the year.

The figure for this year had taken into account the increase which took effect on July 31, 2005. In addition, the government would also be bearing the burden in terms of tax exemption for the year 2005 amounting to RM7.85 billion.

This means that the overall loss burden borne by the government is RM14.48 billion.

That is because you are too dependent with the G-man.

What AB is trying to do now is to educate people like you and me not to depend on G-man anymore.

Previous G-man didn't do this. As a result, people became too dependent on them for nearly everything from business to basic necessities. And for what? To win more votes for the next GE.

Now that will change...

We need to learn to be independent and breakaway from the narrow-minded thinking that the G-man will take care of us for life.

What can the Tun do? He already sap all the country's resources during his reign. Build this, build that and as a result, the country has no money left for the people. Now, AB has to do all the dirty work by himself.

Then, he showed his true colours during the AP debate... sigh... can't he resign in peace?

PM for one year

i don't mind trying out as the PM for one year.
  • send the deputy PM for all the foreign relations engagements with the foreign minister assisting.
  • all the special functions ministers looking into domestic issues.
  • place the police under the judiciary. boost workload of the health, education and science ministry.
  • get a better works minister who drives the developers hard for cost and quality.
  • flat rate for all road tax and end subsidies on fuel.
  • fix the domestic water issue.
  • engage singapore with reunification talks.
  • permit the local and federal monarchy to give titles only with federal government approval. review all persons currently holding honorific titles and remove those which have done nothing in service to the nation.
  • review the power and purpose of the senate.
  • abolish racial based party system.
after a year in office, i can't wait for someone else to continue the work.

i think i'll let my car roll down any road that is slightly downhill, i might save a few drop of petrol each day if i have the will power to do it...

Brunei? Think twice... my bro went to Brunei to work for 2 years and now came back to work for me. He said the conditions there are harsh for non-local or foreigner. People there are too lazy to work and they blame on you for their mistakes or downfall.
