Paint correction with a random orbital? Possible?

Well.. The B&D really isn't a "polisher", more like a "waxer"

Well.. I'm not sure how much your workable budget is, but there's already a couple of proper DA polishers in the Malaysian market these days. The Dodo Juice Buff Daddy is around RM650-700, the Ultramate DA for around RM850-900(well,it's almost the same price as a Makita/Dewalt, but it has an easier learning curve)

Not too sure of any detailing clinic, those would have to wait for the Guru(s) to have a say though. :wavey:

caaaaan.
the Rotaries are like Garang teachers. you learn faster, but if you make mistakes, its gonna hurt.

With the DA you might learn slower, but its forgiving.

*oops, quoted the wrong person.*

The DA are kinda expensive don't u think so? No doubt they are good and almost foolproof like ROB but it doesn't do as much correction as an RB...so I'm thinking of straight away get an RB and learn. Save some $$ haha...mayb RB for correction and ROB for waxing/sanding

That's why must get a punching bag to try haha...gotta get a hood/panel from chop shop. Chop chop!

Wow thanks man! This is a good experiment and impressive write up. I never knew that ROB have enough power to do some decent correction!

Believe me, I don't think this would be possible without the new pads and compound/polishes...especially the M101. And that's what it is really all about. Not the machine but the compound/polish.

I think the high speed of bosch gex 125 plays a small part in cutting the paint too

Doesn't the B&D polisher comes with cloth bonnet pulled over a fixed pad? Good for buffing only, cannot even polish. I sideline mine already and now using Bosch unit with lake country white and black pads....:driver:

It's neither waxer nor polisher....its a vibrator !!

VR taiko, does the Bosch able to remove light swirls and scratches without sanding? I'm thinking of getting one and let go my B&D. The B&D can remove very light swirls with its wool bonnet, but takes long time huhu...

Sanding marks are actually equivalent to 'uniformly distributed light swirls and scratches'....hahaha....you like that term?

Anywhere can get good priced Bosch? :hmmmm:

I see Duragloss is selling RM340. Ace Hardware, if not mistaken, is RM370

I tried to search for 2nd hand unit but to no avail...I guess the price offered by Duragloss is the cheapest. Can I COD with Duragloss instead of via postage? Have anyone of you tried before? If not then I guess I'll give them a ring =)
