My Sunny was originally equipped with contact breaker distributor, I’m going to upgrade to electronic distributor but use back the original ignition coil.

The problem is do I still need the ballast resistor (white rectangle device near ignition coil) or I can just by-pass/take it out?

Is anyone who has done this upgrade can help me up?

I'm kinda new to this forum so bear with me. I'm a proud owner of a 1990 N13 with GA16DE. Oredi port polish (mild), lighten flywheel, lighten+balance crankshaft, extracted. Pretty good!
