Nissan 280ZX spare parts questions

somehow i cant get into my previous thread...

anyway
i'm about to buy a 280zx
but a friend said for this kind of car it will be hard to maintain (in terms of spareparts)

so i would like to know
what kind of aftermarket parts i can get for this machine?
and what is the most cost effective way to tackle this issue?
is it practical for me to swap the engine?
if so,what kind of engine that will be most suitable for this car?

yeah old skool Zs suffer from lack of spare parts availability. however, if u have the right networking (or if ur lucky) parts can be sourced locally. dont worry rare parts are abundant in the states so anything u want, u can order.

there are quite a few people running RB20 inside 280zx so maybe u can try to ask them on the conversion process.
