UE&, i am also curious to what u're asking regarding the Singapore plates. I found this on wiki and i think u'll find it interesting.

There is a paragraph mentioning that there will be personalised plates issued in Singapore sometime late 2007? Its all in wiki.

Nah, long story put short, was wondering if a single digit number 4 in Singapore is the cheapest single-digit you can buy there, just like how single digit number 4 here is cheaper compared to other numbers.

Edit: Friday, Dec. 14 2007, saw:

Very good morning at BSC - JP Chin's maroon 599 GTB Fiorano is here, Bentley Flying Spur, Golf GTI (CT5), Lorinser CLS 05 was here but left (saw the family). Also saw an F430 Spider near Bangsar Village 2. Photos later - didn't bring my cable to transfer the photos.

JP? His car is F430 Spider (plate JP88), not 599.
If it was WLV550, that is MM

Oh, yes it really is MM... :O Just left. I wish he drove his Zonda or Carrera GT today :(

Shimiwako, is the single digit number 4 the cheapest single-digit number available to buy in S'pore?

Exotics there not much single-digit.. good plates are mostly everyday cars and like that..
Some vans and lorries as well.. And some Taxis as well.. there was this white Merc taxi I took I think it was SH* 555 # or something.. forgot the alphas, lol.. forgot to ask if the taxi drivers if they can buy their number plates or something.. Taxi plates there are SH#****# if I'm not mistaken, similar to KL's HWA, HWB, HWC.

Also saw a single digit number taxi at an apartment carpark once..

Since the successful bids for new plate numbers are never published in S'pore, we'll never know for sure if "4" is indeed the cheapest compared to other single-Ds.

And its not uncommon to see single-digit on taxis, vans and lorries, as they use a different set of prefix from private cars. Taxi drivers do not choose their own numbers, its assigned by the taxi companies.

SHD9X - Toyota Crown Taxi

Maybe with luck I can see some of S'pores old plates (pre-'70) when I go there on the 16th.. or even some single digit Johor plate cars visiting..

Best S'pore plate I have seen is
S30D - Altis or something like that
S29E (not sure) - red Jaguar

I'll try snap some single digit S'pore plates when I'm there

Look out for those really old plates that do not have a suffix letter, these are very rare. And see if you can spot those reserved for appointment holders like the one below, for supreme court judge.

nice galla, if gallardo gath for malaysia n sg can reach 100 unit or not?

Damn it! You know right after anType posted that there was a 599 @ BSC and F430 @ BV2, I rushed over with my bike to Bangsar, and because I came from Ampang, it took me like 30 minutes to get there, arrived at around 1:15pm I guess, and all I saw was Bentley... :(

Well I did see a few nice stuff in town so that did make up for it.

On my way to Bangsar I also saw YANG DI-PERTUA NEGERI MELAKA on a black Naza Ria.

Also spotted:
TA 1 on a blue Range Rover (generation II)
Yellow plate with black fonts

TAG2 on a BMW 5-Series with M5 bodykit, wheels, brakes, exhausts. The valet opened the door and the F1 paddles were missing.

Quite a lot of TAG plates I've seen already..
