New from the US

Hello. Im new from the US. Came across the forum while I was looking for some info on the motor that I just purchased. It is a 1ggte from a 1989 JDM Toyota Soarer. I am putting it in a 1988 US Toyota pickup. I am hoping to find some useful info that will help me in finishing the project. Thanks Thomas

Toyota 1G-GTE


The 4-valve DOHC 1G-GTE added turbochargers to the mix. Both air-to-air and water-to-air intercoolers were also used, pushing output from 185 to 210 hp (138 to 157 kW) at 6200 rpm and 173 to 203 ft·lbf (234 to 275 Nm) at 3800 rpm. This was the most powerful engine of the whole G family. In 1990 it was replaced with >280 hp 1JZ-GTE on most Toyota cars.
Applications:

• 1986–1992 Toyota Supra MK3 (chassis code GA70, JDM only)
• 1988–1990 Toyota Mark II/Chaser/Cresta (chassis code GX81)
• 1986–1990 Toyota Soarer (chassis code GZ20)

Thanks. Once I am a lil further in the swap I will post some pics up. I have finally laid the motor to rest in the frame over the past 2 weeks. Had to relocate the motor and trans mount. Once everything is welded in place I will snap a few shots. I will grately appreciate any info I can get on the wiring schematic for that motor.

maybe sabahan people can give u advice on that..because alot of them install 1jz into land rover,hilux and range rover....
