I think this labelling rule will not so soon and so easily to be here. Malaysia is still not a pro-consumer country. Look at that damn name of MDTCC for Ministry of Domestic Trade, Cooperative and Consumerism, conflicting interests in the same ministry so who do you think the minister will take the most care of? "If people don't complain, don't do anything".

This EU labelling rule is so good and easy for general consumer reference. I do hope it can be enforced here.

Yup, agree with you, but I did hear something going on for Malaysian Market. Seems they will require Sirim certification, not sure how they will go about it.
Probably need to send to Sirim for testing, but is Sirim capable to do it?:hmmmm:

For local market, whether with or without label, i think its the price most consumers are looking at...

Last week when i was in a tyre shop, a lady just came in with her Innova and wanted to change 4 tyres at one go....

The tyre shop assistant asked her what type of tyres she want.....

She replied....the cheapest that you have!

Cannot be helped. Consumer have all sorts. Seen an old unker driving Mercedes, go to my friend tyre shop, insist on the same brand and model that came with the car. To him, Mercedes fit that tyre to the car, that tyre is the best......:banghead:
