I have a Perodua Myvi with 17" rims. I'm interested in converting into 4 disc brakes since stock Myvi brakes have problem with high heat when going down Genting or hard braking, which I had heard and experienced.

I was advised that using Nissan Skyline BNR32 Brembo or normal Nissan brakes will do the job for all 4 wheels. However, a mech said that if Myvi using R32 brakes for the rear, the handbrake won't work. There are also a few mechs advise me to use Proton rear disc brakes or Toyota AE101 or AE111 as the rear brakes.

Any opinion or recommended workshops which have experience in this type conversion in Myvi will highly appreciate and thankful.

go for AXT disc brake if your car no more warranty

go back to Myvi for a change of disc brake if still under warranty...they have already changed the manufacturer for their stock disc breaks-thus better quality!

bro, no need to go for BNR32..
juz go for nearest siblings only..detomaso's rear brake disc will do..

wow....bnr32 brake on myvi ar???don't u find it heavy?and don't u find it to
grippy for ur car???it's dangerous on rainy day or on wet surface.ur wheel
lock easily.

how about the ABS?? i heard some mech said if converted to rear-disc no more ABS unless urs is non-absthen ok la..

handbrake cable can change to match the new brakes but not sure about ABS

Nissan brake system seems too big for myvi...its too grippy if u ask me.

easily lock when u jammed d brake n dangerous especially during corner or rainy day. it tends to drift for sure.

is stock myvi disc is ventilated or solid type?

Bro.. i've seen it being done already.. myvi users do go for nissan kits.. its common.. btw.. for the rears.. u could opt to stick with the drums.. if ya really wanna go for rear disks.. then fine.. but ya could be facing mild handbrake issues..
