Overpowering the speaker ma give you some headroom but it may shortening their life span. Back in th days there are competitors who win IASCA with a 2 amp setup. How do they dp that, its because they know that efficientcy is important. More power does not always meant more SQ. But now most competitor are using 4 or 5 amp setup, not because they need more power but to impresses the judge. Looks does matter now in SQ. You get extra points just because you are using the latest gear. this has happened in the US IASCA competition.</blockquote>
