Looks like 'kete banjir' & non-well maintained car to me.

My opinion, as long as the finishing (internal) still ok, the rest should be fine la, cause since Torneo looks is not so 'pretty' as compared to CF4,(my opinion only!) so i guess later just spare few $$$$ to replace them with CF4 parts. About the CF4, no need to worry much..most of us here got spares. All can DIY also, of course Faizal can help u to do it la. kekekeke ( i donno how to do it!!)

About the engine, not to worry much..worst come to worst just changed it to F20B DOHC MT/AT or even H22A .......(bakar! bakar!!):shades_smile: :shades_smile: :shades_smile:

But the most critical things are the chasis. Just ensure that the car never involved in major accident before (cause previously drove by a women). Others shudl be fine.

To finance those refurbishments, my suggestions is if the owner agree to sell at RM57k, then ask for slightly discounts.... strategies your financing by recalculating cost before & after and ask for higher loan for the bank. But.. prior to that, make sure that it's matching your forecast inflow la.

Worst come to worts, u still need to allocate at least RM3k to refurbished it back to 'life', without touching the engine compartments.

As for the time being, u can ask other CF4-ian opinion also here..

torneo's front end looks a bit weird...but the rear's much like a normal CF4. at $57k, it sure is tempting indeed.

Basic calculation, to convert Torneo to CF4 :-

1. Front bumper/Grill/ sportlight RM400.00
2. Front bonet RM500.00
3. Front Fender RM400.00
4. Front headlight + HID RM1200.00 (lamps set only RM800)
5. Labor (Faizal buat) RM10.00 (teh tarik + roti telor..+ aku jugak la)
6. Painting charges RM500.00

Total RM3,010.00

So, tu la..siap2 dlm RM3k jugak la. Tak termasuk side skirt la.. aku rasa ada kot!!

Untuk item (1) & (2), Aku & Faizal ada. Item (3) Aku kena check ada ker tak, tapi rasa2nya ada. Item (4) Kat kedai potong ada. Kat mana2 harga jual memang macam tuh la.

Susah2 gi carik kat kedai potong ker...dlm semua barang..harga pun murah sikit. tapi kena beli satu set la. kekekekekeke

Ori base/patform/chasis.. CF lagi panjang la compared to SV4 (that explain why i can put 2 my fishing rods kat rear bonet)...but if compare CF4 & torneo, actually they are the same.

Just the matter the bodyparts make look the Torneo smaller/shoter, as compared to normal CF4. CL1 lagi panjang.

Recent model CM5 or Euro R CL7 looks wider or gemuk...kind looks like nugget. kekekeke

I've been following this threads since several days, and I'm very delighted to own a CF4 as well..

Today somebody offered me a Torneo VTEC SOCH at 57k. I've testdriven it and so far I'm satisfied with the car.. the only concern for me is that the bottom part of the front bumper is cracked (maybe sagat something), and the headlights turned yellowish .. If I cant find a Torneo bumper, can I use Accord CF4's parts?

Another concern.. it seems that this car is smaller than Accord SV4 (currently I'm using CD5).. correct me if I'm wrong.

you're right when you said the car feels smaller than the previous accords.

that's why i like the cf4 because it looks big from the outside but feels like driving a civic in the inside.

this is my all time favorite torneo. it's a bit extreme but very nicely done.

don't forget the rear wiper bro.

Rear wiper biar dulu la, lagi mahal tu. Overall cost for rear wiper :

1)> Rear Glass RM800.00 (kena cari yg cerah, sebab asal Euro R semua gelap!. Takut nanti JPJ kacau!!)
2) Wiper motor RM400.00
3) Front controller (kat stereng tuh) RM300(Jarang ada org nak jual)
4) Wiring RM30.00
Total RM1,530.00

Tapi tak pakai pun tak apa, sebab yg tipu punya ada jual. Pakai lekat ker kat wiper cermin belakang tuh!! kekekekeke

welcome to the club man... 57k is dirt cheap but looking at the car condition, you must spend some money to modify it...

the cheapest investiment is keeping the torneo as it is and replace only the front headlites and possibly bumper. Sun fuji in bkt kemuning has torneo parts... headlites also. try looking for those torneo R headlites...

i'm all against eye lid la... ah bengish la (my opinion - no offence bro)

champ white colour eh... really syiok but good workmanship comes with a price la. got my accord sprayed for RM3200 but very good quality. kilat better than metallic.

for rear wiper i've got a not very bad deal
- Rear wiper + motor + dark rear windshield + controller = RM950
- labour to change rear windshield = RM180
- wiring and replacement of controller - dono... haven't got the time to let the wiring done.

but aja sure can find a better deal

anyway if ur interested, i think sun fuji still has the dark rear windshield + wiper + motor. really syiok la ini dark rear windshield. mate it with dark rear passenger window panes and you'll have the right JDM torneo ride bro... must get aja's engine la if course to make it perfect heheh.

aja sell to me cheap2 ur engine then you buy the one yewson has heheh

Can !!, no problems...actually since then & now i'm still gatal2 nak tukar kete. Donno why. Now starting to hunting for CL7 la pulak, tengok la kalo ada. kekekekeke. Already asked few person to look for me already.

As for the rear windiscreen, the cost calculated inclusive of installation of RM200 like that. But now all CF4/CL1 parts base on seller mood. If ok , dapat cheaper la..cause damn rare thing!!.

hunting for CL7 eh... get a mazda 6 la beb but dono la wat type of engine those mazda guys have...

kekekekeke. Mazda 6??. Tak la. Actually i've tested that car (and other car also like Sti, Evo7, Altezza, GT4), somewhere around Novemberr 2004..just after it's launched & before i placed my EC7A Galant order last time.

Tell u the power.. hmmm.. donno where are the powerband la. Torque pun tak tau pi mana!!. tidoq kot. Almost no power at all. thay y, if u noticed most of Mazda6 being drove by pakcik2 only. So sad!! If u notice, quite seldom also people buying Mazda6. Maybe due to that reason la kot!!

CL7 hopefully ok lah, even though it's not as fast as CL1. Was thinking to change car from day 1, but donno which good NA car to buy. Turbo can't really tahan the maintenance la. That y. Now starting to hunt CL7 up & down, esok ptg going to ronda2 KL to look for it or any other good NA car, if any!!
