Mid BAss Speaker

nt to forget the expert out there..

i have a few question regarding the mid bass speaker

1 what is the function of this mid bass speaker

2 where should i install the speaker.. I have a pair of 6X9 at the back and a pair of tweeter in the front.. just want to get the best effect

3. What is the difference between MId BAss and other speaker..

4. Do I need a AMplifier when i INstall this speaker??

1. To play mid bass

2. Depends on what car are you in. Some are better off on the door panel, kick panel... even dashboard.

3. Most mid bass are 4", 5.25", 6.5" and some even to the entend of 8".

4. Well if you want to get the most of your speaker then go for it.

Ok I will explain in details.... hope you will understand this.

A system consist of sub bass, mid bass and trebble

Sub bass - playd by sub woofer. Usually plays in the range of 20 hz - 100 hz. Usually a sub woofer is 8,10,12,15,18,22,24 inch. Why do subwoofer is large. It is because to reproduc low end freq. you need a big cone area.

Mid bass - played by mid bass speaker. Usually in the range of 100 hz - 1 khz. Usual size is 4", 5.25",6.5". Plays sounds like drum.

Trebble - played by tweeter. Usually in the range of 2 khz to 10 khz (i think). usually has size of 1". Plays trebble, voice, high pitch sound.

Now a normal 2 way component has a tweeter and a mid bass.

A 3 way component has 2 mid bass and a tweeter. The 2 mid bass will plays different freq as to reproduce music more accurate and natural compared to a 2 way component.

or are you referring to the 6X9 3 way speaker?? Well if that is the case than the 6X9 acts like a coaxials. You can search for coaxials vs component. It has been discussed numerous times.

what is the diference( the sounds quality) we can get if we compare 200W 6' midbass and 180W 5' Midbass..
to be installed in K car..
