88-92 2.0 12 v is FF. got 626 FF 1 ah?

what does he mean by FF?? Front wheel drive? if yes, the the answer is yes.

Hi stalker,

All mazda 626's are (as far as I know - from 1980's onwards) are front wheel drives.

The 86 model is known as the GC body. Technically you could drop in the following engines as the mountings are almost similar for both GC and GD series (88-92).

You have choice of the following standard N/A engines:-

1) FS8 1.8 Dohc 16v (Looks similar to the B8 but has got a higher head and larger plenum chamber)

2) FE3 2.0 Dohc 16v
(I've got this....wondeful engine. Very powerful for its age.....you should give it a try).

or if you're adventurous, go for a turbo - MAzda B8. bear in mind , you will have to do some modifications on the mounting.

Is your car a 1.6 or a 1.8?
