Lai Exhaust SS2

Lai quoted me rm1430 for complete 3" non-stainless piping. this includes downpipe + resonator + midpipe + centerbox + endpipe. all Mandrel-bent joints. NO muffler.

wanna ask the more experienced members out there, is the price reasonable? if so, i would go get it done next month. thanks.
Lai Exhaust provides one of the best workmanship in my opinion, 1.4k should be negotiable, FYI, he will only treat serious customers and give them ur best price.

Sometimes, u must understand good offer doesn't come cheap, try asking somewhere, u might get better offer but not the best performance

InitialD: AH is at Taman Perindustrian Subang 6.

thteh86: i was pretty serious about doing it there cos it's in the SS2 area. nearer and more convenient, plus also since there were members who said he was reasonably priced. i went there, got a quote and came back to check whether he was being fair to me. rm1430 was the best price he gave me.

i shall go to a few other places and check out what is the difference in price.

ah lai workmanship is goood, nice fella too, been to his shop few times liao, 1.4k can be expensive can be cheap, depends how u look at it

hi all...was just browsing through this thread...thought i wanna share something
just to let u know that price varies due to what material, how big is the diameter, how long is the overall length, any 'flange joints?' & not to forget quality n workmanship.

just to add up even a 2.5" flexible pipe cost about RM 200, whatless could a 3" flexi.

so basically IMHO, for a full length 3" piping with mandrel bends + flexi, price is very subjective coz end game its the workmanship & quality that decides the ceiling of the total cost. whatmore if u use stainless steel.

i personally do my exhaust at AH. even if i go to some repairshop, other mechanics would always say "wah...u punya piping banyak cantik welding"

just my 3 cents
cheers

zero4: hmmm, yeah. i never doubted his friendliness or his workmanship, must say the mandrel-bents were really smooth.

so in your opinion 1.4k for the above-mentioned bill of quantity, the price is reasonable?

i will do what u r doing now bro, go around and ask for quote first, then only u decide

erm..how to say...not to say how we see the price expensive or not like thteh86....

no matter how nice the workmanship....it couldnt be tat high price......

for me....a good ekzos shop gotta provide us the lower price, better service, beter quality, beter workmanship etc.......

ig because of good service n workmanship then the price is bloody hell expensive...no point.... i rather dun wan the good service if the price can be reduced

my 2 cents...no arguement here..peace

erm ... can someone pls show me the direction to "AH"

thanks

Where is this ekzos shop you are talking about?

manofwar: noted. thanks for the advice. maybe i will check out AH, my tuner also recommends them.

zero4: yeah, i think i will check with other reputable places first. see how it goes. thanks.

Got few other good places.

- AH in USJ

- JFA in Pandan & Sunway

- Jian Hang in Batu Caves (not sure about location)

- Robert in Segambut (not sure about location)

I think the price will be somewhat close to this Lai's price too.

Mainly due to the increase in steel and welding material cost.

Any? where is this "any" exhaust shop?

Since you say you know good ekzos shop gotta provide us the lower price, better service, beter quality, beter workmanship etc......., please tell me where is this shop.

is your car using 3" piping also?

I think this exhaust shop huakenny is talking about exist in a place "once upon a time" where everybody "lived happily ever after" *cough* fairytale *cough*

AH Exhaust.

if you go towards Summit from Subang, you will cross the KESAS highway right?

ok, after you pass Summit, there will be a set of traffic lights in front. turn left here.

at the next set of traffic lights, turn right.

go straight along the main road right until almost the end. when you see the TEXCHEM building, take a left

go straight, pass a kedai potong on your right, then take the first turning right. then turn left.

AH should be the 3rd shop on your left.

WOw..thanks very much differ. Hope i manage to get it there...
