my car iswara 1.5 auto (4g15, auto).
my engine has blown. the m-oil like milk.

im wonder what should i do now.
1. over haul the original engine.
2. change engine - if change engine, what engine is suitable, what modification is needed, can the old gear box being used back for the new engine.

correct me if im wrong.

transplant 4g93 inside... muahahahah...
make sure the mounting mods are done properly.... then, u'll have some chance passing jpj inspection....

if u duwan to mod or something..just change the engine back to 4g15,try find for the injection type one..1k++ the last time i heard

haha.... yah yah, if u not looking for something extreme and jz want a decent engine.... get 4g15 inj engine... vr good decent engine lo...

Dunno about the price overthere
here 1.3 cost ya around 400 - 500 BUT...
1.5 will cost ya 1200-1500....ouch !!!!

There are many ways to do with the blown engine. it really depends on how much money u wanna spend.

caspertheghost,

Overhauling engine (provided there were typical wear and tear of the engine) is more econmical in the long run. Best of all, u can expect the engine to be reliable for certain amount of year.

I am sure many ppl are tempted to upgrade engine when their ori engine in deep Sh**. This is normal. I was tempted to do that too last time. But I didn't. Money was tight at that time.

Engine transplant can be straight forward job, if there is a suitable plug and play engine. However, do consider the cost (and hidden cost) and the amount of effort to legalise the engine trasnplant process. Another word of caution, not all engine in kedai kreta potong (i assume u will buying from them) is good. there is absolutely no garantee for a good running engine. Many say its a try of luck when buying halfcut engine. Some engines are good (with some souped up performance parts installed in the engine), some are bad (requires engine work- overhaul etc) and some engine transplant are just plain headache(legally and technically).

Please ponder all the points before making a decision. Good luck and happy motoring!

ken yeang,
u have ur point there.
here is the prorblem im facing now.
1st. my engine having problem just after finish warranty period. one of the valve is not walking. this happen when im out skirt, that time i make my way back to my home town then repair the car. i did a top over haul for the valves. then the problem solved. then until recent weeks, my engine blown. i have not send my car to workshop to open up the engine as if im planning to transplant, then i wont touch the old engine. as i mention before my m-oil is like milk already. so im now sure what should i do.
from the problem of the m-oil like milk, what may cause this problem occur??

if i buy a half cut of 4g91 injection, i can take what i need for my car and the left over sell to ppl. which is better than i buy seperately.

if i would like to transplant to 4g91 injection. i heard that ori gear box will not last long with the new engine. so what should i do. what modification do i need.
