Do anybody has any idea what spec of engine of this model? because I found 1 that shows big vtec including YS1 gbox and big vtec intake manifold. I just curious whether inside it is big or small vtec spec. What I know, the model came with small vtec.

How to identify DA6 for big V is as listed below:-

1) Wiring connector grey in color
2) 91~93 production (base on printed at head near exhaust manifold)
3) Engine no. = B16A 140XXXX
4) Have only one oxigen sensor at exhaust near flexible (nanas).
5) Cable type clutch
6) 170hp@7800rpm
7) gearbox YS1 4.4 final ratio
8) Throttle body without PGM-FI charactor
9) ECU type PR3
10) Without ABS/TCS
11) Small/short radiator
12) Battery located at near windscreen
13) Rocker cover shoe VTEC more bigger than dohc
14) Aluminium oil rail (inside rocker cover)

Hope can help you.... :D

actually mine have been converted to b16a-1401929 (auto tranny); previously it wuz zc-xxxxxxx and the chasis number appeared to be from da7-10xxxxx bodyshell/engine bay.. therefore izzit sharing the same specs jes like the big V of b16 family ?

ZC is in the same family as D-series engine.

1.6 dohc producing around 130ps at the engine. Non-vtec btw...

- DA7 original engine is ZC
- ZC is D-series family, therefore it is actually belongs to the D-series family
- DA is same year production as EF, therefore some parts can be shared
- Whether your B16A is big V or small V, that depends on your swapped engine, not your chassis. If it's a big V, then it's a big V. If not then it's a small V. ZC to B-series swap needs mounting modification.

soulfly...
have u ever try using performance oil pump...? some hondarians claimed that incredible hp increased by using this thing... if u got any info... pls include the brands also... tq...

Nope...DA7 is usually auto and I think with the ZC....

DA6 is the best...can either be small v - 1989 to 1991 models
or big v - 1992 model....

i rephrased my teg's spec ere - previously the engine wuz zc-xxxxxxx and now the chasis number stated on my reg card said the b16a appeared to be from da7-10xxxxx bodyshell/engine bay.. therefore izzit sharing the same specs jes like the big V of b16 family ?.. sorry guys... i'm juz kurious that some of my fwens said mine is small v but according to pojie_eg9 thread, to identify whether izzit a big V or small v, the b16a shud haf :

1) Wiring connector grey in color
2) 91~93 production (base on printed at head near exhaust manifold)
3) Engine no. = B16A 140XXXX
4) Have only one oxigen sensor at exhaust near flexible (nanas).

11) Small/short radiator
12) Battery located at near windscreen
13) Rocker cover shoe VTEC more bigger than dohc
14) Aluminium oil rail (inside rocker cover)

from wut i can c in my engine bay, all but criteria no 2, 10, 11 and  12 doesn fit the lists.. so ?

C1kai...ok...here is more detail to identify(cannot tipu punya):-

1) WIRING/ECU
- If yr connector grey in color (near distributor) mean BIG V due to using wiring OBD-1, confirm using BIG V ecu......

- If yr connector yellow in color mean SMALL V due to using wiring OBD-0, confirm using SMALL V ecu.

2) ENGINE/HEAD
Pls open yr oil cap at rocker cover, u can see oil rail inside....long plate one...we can see very clear what type of oil rail material made from.....
- If your oil rail is made from aluminium mean that is BIG V......aluminium oil rail have slippery (licin) surface with silver aluminium color.

- If yr oil rail is made from cast iron mean that is SMALL V.....
- cast iron oil rail have rough (kasar) surface wih yellowish/grey cast iron color.

hope this will help u....sure it will help:lol:
any question just call me at 019-3950234.

does the SK7 will make my ride lower than the stock DA7 damper + coil.. i can put my 3 fingers between my tyres to the wheel arc... and i'm afraid of height ! :P (i wuz thinking to put EF short stroke damper to my DA7 in order to bypass the need of hi/low/adjustable abs...wud dat be ok?)
