Greetings guys,
Need some help here. Can I run 1000cc injectors on my evo using just an safc2 for fuel control? Help is very much appreciated.

Cheers

Yes. You can. But SAFC II is just only the piggy back, not able to control the engine management fuel mapping. The best is to get complete engine management control unit like HalTech, MoTec, MicroTech, etc if you want to use bigger injectors. :)

Hmmm... those are pretty big injectors compared to standard 550 - 560 cc. Hope you dont mind - What's your target hp and what other things you are planning to upgrade?

With 1000cc, can easily goto 500-650bhp for mitsubishi... engine placement must enlarged.... :o

SAFC2 will not be enough for 1000cc injectors..
Just what I thought. For 1000cc injectors, you must be thinking of bigger turbo (TD06 or GT3) - if not whats the point of the bigger size injectors. With that kind of hp, you may have to completely change your ECU to preferebably programmable one. Higher airflow + buckets of fuel = plenty of hp :D

nope...SAFC will not be able to handle the 1000cc injectors..if i'm not wrong it can only handle to approx. +/- 30% over stock injectors...

and also..why do u need 1000cc ? you'd need many more things to complement it...cams ? higher boost ? etc..

oh..for 500-600hp Mitsu engines..4 x 750 cc injectors can do the job...its the rest of other things u would really need...

Thanks guys for all the replies.

I was thinking of running an safc2 to temporarily keep the fueling in check while I very lightly test an engine.

With this setup I am looking at "high bhp figures" and dont see smaller injectors as being an option, in fact I might have to go bigger as a precaution- 1000cc might not have enough efficiency/duty allowance in case of a huge boost spike, and we all know what happens if I dont get that extra amount of fuel :D .

I will be using a full EMS but before that I need to know if the engine is runnable at all after all the work done to it, no point in starting a very expensive map on the engine when the components are not working properly.

SAFC is too primitive to control large injector which more than 650cc. But when controlling inj 400-650cc it's just ok. Still not very effective company to EMS. :)

mod..

guess u've got it the other way round...

1. go for the EMS setup...it wud enable u to manage many settings prior to your target HP, at least to keep the engine in 1pc..

2. don forget the fuel pumps to enable adequate fuel flow when required..

why need 1000cc injectors if u car not in extreme mods?

i think the injectors set not cheap.better upgrade other stuff 1st.and regards to safc2 to control the 1000cc injectors...i think safc2 not up to the task.nothing can beat the ems in re programming the engine.

and if your car is mild mods only...again i think the 1000cc set is too much.

1000 cc injectors

1000 cc injectors can push T88 already la ...
