Thank you all for your valuable comments.
As promised, here is my updates on my car situations. Take note my engine replacements are done by Nissan authorised center and some info are their comments:
1) The cause - Top radiator part, which is fiberglass, major crack 6 inches long. This caused the coolant dry up too fast for sensor to detect to show on dashboard for overheat. Make sense? I somehow understand better now
2) Cost to overhaul - Gasket RM1,200, aluminum head cost RM3,800 a piece, need two to replace. Yes can skim, but may have ongoing engine overheat problem based on their past experience with skim block.
3) Used engine from Mun Lee - RM1,100 engine kosong. Not great condition, high mileage according to Nissan mechanic. Mun Lee may have 50 engines, but you hardly can choose your own because they all stacked up on top each other. They had to use forklift to bring down the engine, so this part they are reluctant to do. Managed to select one out of two engines which already somewhere on the floor, but don't trust what they said. You will have to be expert to view the engine condition, otherwise bring along your mechanic to choose. Transport from KL to Batu Pahat cost RM70. Warranty oni 2 weeks cover for overheat and high fuel consumption.
4) Nissan Labor cost - RM850 for engine assembly work (more than a week job) Other compulsory parts has to be replace like oil seal, hose, etc..all adds up total bill RM2,300 including labor. Not bad?
5) Replaced engine condition - had my car on Sunday, rev it up on highway up to 160kmh seemed running smooth, but bit high fuel consumption compare to original engine. A bit rough and noisy when idling.
Conclusion? Feeling is never be the same, it just like have a older heart in your body. When buy used engine, make sure don't rush and find the best one available, unless your ori engine already hit 300K. The used engine have serious carbon built up where my ori engine clean like new, shining clean. Another advise from Nissan, replace the top radiator part with aluminum if possible, this will eliminate such problems.
Good luck to all A32 VQ engine owners. Cheers from Calvin

The head can be skim la, see many did it before and i wonder why Nissan engineer did not advice this. Most engine are aluminum now.
Yes they did advised about this skimming, but they experienced from clients with ongoing overheat problems, if not keep refilling coolant ...

Buy a Front and rear half cut (A32) now and store it somewhere safe ? hehehe....
But seriously i hope the gomen will not implement this ruling otherwise alot of ppl will be out of job and we will b out of parts!
Have to buy a Potong Sakar then..
There is a saying, its better hope than no hope..but hope from gomen is no better than no hope...sigh.

I doubt that they will compensate you if the screw and nut is cracked. For a normal engine (none aluminium head) you just need to skim the heads , replace gaskets and sometimes replace the rings (pistons)
. But for our type of engines better not skim the head coz the head/s will warp during overheating. It will cost more problem unless the heads you change are new ones. Setting back the timing chain is another headache. If the chains are wrongly set , get ready for an engine swap. My advice is also do an engine swap instead of spending $$$$ on your current engine. You can do it (head swap) if Nissan agrees to pay you compensation. Pls note that the VQ HEads are not cheap.
Totally agreed and opted for engine replacement. VQ heads cost RM3,800 a piece, you need to replace both heads, expensive? Yes god damm it is..
